hey all!

first, id just like to say how happy i am to be here.  ive been searching for information about the "dream world" nearly 3 months ago, and it has took me this long to find this- or any- group.  i joined a few days ago, and have felt like a kid in a candy shop.  astral projection and the dream world are just about the most fascinating things ive come across.  having read a good few of the posts now, im so grateful to have found a group where people really seem to know what their talking about... because this is something id really like to explore and learn about- properly.

i began OBEing spontaneously about a year and a half ago when i was living in a haunted apartment.   didnt realise until recently that id been having OBE experiences- i didnt know what they were, i think i was proably naturally phasing.  i usually didnt get very far from my body, and spent the time freaked out, trying to wake myself up! i didnt realise until recently that id been having OBE experiences- i didnt know what they were.  i usually didnt get very far from my body, and spent the time freaked out, trying to wake myself up!

but over the last year it kept happening, and i started travelling to other places.  i got very interested in dream interpretation- and started keeping a dream journal and interpreting them.  but something told me there was more to this than just dreaming. and yet, i could only get tasters of info, no matter how much i tried to research.  most of what i know has been just pieced together.  this forum is already closing some gaps- and giving me an indication of just HOW big, the big picture is!

anyway, here i am now- the last 3 months ive been having some good results, and i cant wait to share them! this is just so exciting

You've come to the right forum!  There are pleny of ideas to share around here about OBE and other fascinating things.  Hope you'll share what you've learned.  DH

How very cool!  Your story is similar to mine in the way you came to this realization of what might be happening to you.  I've had vivid dreams much of my life.  Mostly in the last 15-20 years the dreams became grander - bigger! I've always been fascinated with them and have had dream books around.

Thing is - is that no one around me had dreams in the same way I do/did. So, I bought books. My dreams have always sent me messages and I haven't always understood the messages (my new conclusion) but they are insightful.

This most recent dream of astral projecting was just too amazing to ignore! And I recently found a sight that describes Golden Light auras. I don't know which sites to believe but they all seem to say that it's a good thing and not a bad thing so I won't worry about!   

Have you seen auras in the waking state? I just tried again last night and "think" I was successful. I'll try again today.

thanks for the welcomes guys!  ive started reading "the art of dreaming" by carlos castenada- only on teh first chapter and already finding it mind blowing!  im so glad to be exploring this... one step at a time 

i will gladly share what ive learnt, if i can.

golden light- i have seen auras, but not recently.  with practice you can learn to see them.  i have a good website link i will pm you.

actually, the first time i saw my own aura, it was huge, and golden.  i was in a really good head space at the time.  in fact, it was right before all my psychic abilities began opening up...
