Overusing any divination method reduces it's accuracy - completely.

Much is up to the spirits, our Karma, our fate.  Mostly it is up to our will, and luck.

How accurate are tarot readings?

Hi,

I am of a split opinion on this one yet: -

Perhaps only as good as the instrument that uses them or any other divination tool or device. Does not a poor workman blame his tools and an artist keep them in pristine order. I got to know a little a charming English lady who I had been sitting in psychic development group with over a period of about a couple of years. She was a 2nd generation psychic/tarot reader. Now her tarot skill was refined to a point of unerring accuracy. For instance she had categorized many thousands of dream symbols, and while she was performing her tarot interpretation work she would find that appropriate symbols would come to her mind. This enabled her to be confident in giving as good as you can get statements for hers clients. On the other hand when say doing a spirit link she found it initially very difficult as she felt she did not have the adequate tools (not realising perhaps that it was herself) to produce accurate information from her links. But with practice she gained confidence and could really do the business putting more experienced clairvoyant/mediums to shame.

Cheers,

Tarot cards in themselves have no accuracy or lack of, they are just a tool. It is in the skill of the person using them that they are or are not accurate.

to that point, they should primarily be used as a developmental tool. A proficient psychic or medium probably doesn't need to use them for anything more than a prop for unknowing people who insist on 'believing the cards.'

James.

Hi James,

Good point. A shame that often vulnerable people can be taken in by cold readers for instance, clothed as it were with the trapping of psychic aptitude. Whereas a skilled intuitive might employ the cards effectively, and would that still be a poor form of practice! As an analogy, for example in the UK the Spiritualist National Union (SNU) have decreed that mediums demonstrating of taking private sitting in SNU churches must not employ psychometry, even if it acts as a tool to enable the start of a reading on a psychic level before leading to the establishment of a link with spirit.

However should we really consider the average person as that innocent or gullible, as they have chosen to take part in the enactment or ritual played out between the sitter and reader as it were! How do we approach providing a meaningful response to the original question "how accurate are tarot readings"?

Cheers,

Hi All,

I would like to agree with the statement that Tarot cards are only as good as the reader.  Tarot is a special tool available, but does not suit all mediums.  Tarot have an energy all of thier own, and can provide a link between the seekers subconscious and the universal consciousness.  It is through this link that the cards fall where they need to fall.  Therefore there is no coincidences in Tarot.  However, when going to a reader who has a strong connection to that universal consciousness, you will get much more information and feelings than someone who just knows the meanings of each card.  Still someone of the latter skill, can still give you accurate information, just very basic.

"The moment" also plays an important role in tarot reading.  Everything in life is in a constant state of change, and it is impossible for the cards to read every possible outcome.  Instead, they tend to be like a mirror and reflect back to the reader any areas that are particularly on the mind or needing attention.  They should be used as a guide or tool only, and not something with which to design your life on.

In saying that, I emphasis that it is a tool - and any good medium that can use tarot cards effectively can probably pick up similar messages without the use of the cards.  Some mediums feel more comfortable with "a prop" to guide them i guess.

I've used tarot cards about 10 times 1 day, with another psychic, asking and answering each others questions, to see if they worked, and got very good results.

The energy connected to symbol of the cards (not the cards themselves) has been accumulated from many psychics who use them, past, present, and future.

What you think about when holding them will attract some cards and repel others. There is not exactly 1 right card.

This is not the method I used, but from all I've learned about paranormal things, this should work best...

Sort the cards approximately attract to repel. Sort them all face down to avoid being influenced by your opinion of a card. Sort by energy only. Its ok if you make mistakes. The average should be more toward the answer you seek than random chance.

Ignore some amount of the middle cards. They do not affect what you are thinking about.

The more similar the cards are in each section to each other, the better quality reading it is.

Negate the ideas of the cards in the repel section and add those ideas to the attract section. The average of all that is the reading.

You should always do a circle of protection when doing Divination and Tarot cards and other stuff, otherwise ANYONE can interfere with your work and manipulate the outcome to their gain.

I know some of you will think 'oh why, no one will do that anyway!',
with an attitude like this you might as well just swallow all the propaganda the Goverment(s) feed you. Not that I care, own problem [xx(]

How will a circle shield your thoughts and their connection to the symbols of the cards from ANYONE?

Mystic Cloud

Well make it a sphere then [xx(]

But I still think a circle will do just because negs have trouble crossing running water also.
