Anyone see these DVDs or read these books? I just watched both last night and have read both books before seeing the movie.  They were both much better than I had anticipated.

Curious as to their similarities and how I'm finding that most of these books are saying very similar things.  We are energy forms here to remember what we are and to move us into a new state of being (higher evolutionary path).

There is a current movement, according to the Celestine Prophecy that is going on.  Any thoughts on this topic?

 What kind of Prophecy?

I read both books but was unaware of any movement, except for the 'New Age Movement'. There is the 'New Thought' movement, which is really old and gets confused with New Age, but that's all I know. (Which is not much).

I read the Celestine Prophecy years ago.  I was ticked off later when I found out it wasn't true.  :(

I spent weeks trying to see auras...lol.

Yeah, I was unaware of it's historical authenticity.  But the "prophecy" was that the human race is/was climbing an evolutionary ladder that essentially leads us to see the world for what it is: Energy. And that in being able to do this - see the energy, we also gain a higher state of being/consciousness.

But Conversations with God was just an interesting movie. Not a blockbuster mind you. However, this author, Neale Donald Walsch, went through some incredibly rough times. (homeless, broken neck, out of work, picking food out of garbage cans...) And at his lowest moment he was awakened by a voice that asked, "Have you had enough yet?"

He thought he was going crazy. But the voice just kept talking and so he eventually grabbed a pen and paper.  He ended up with maybe 100's of yellow tablets filled with conversations he'd had with this voice that he ended up believing was "God".

The stuff in the book and in the movie is uplifting and seems enlightening. Whether or not he really spoke with God and heard Him - I'm not going make that call. However, Neale Walsch says that God speaks to everyone all the time - in many different ways, unfortunately, we've stopped listening. (coincidences, people that show up in our lives at the moment we need them, hunches, and our own voice telling us what to do)

The both are my fave books of all time both authors are very gifted. I went out and bought both DVDs however was a little disappointed in it. I guess because you picture something one way in your head when reading ya know. You might like The Secret and What the Bleep Do We Know if you enjoyed those.  8-)

I was going to say... which will take FOREVER.....   thus the short version.

I lived in a Campground when I discovered this book.  A guy came out of the darkness while we sat around our campfire.  He started to describe the Celestine book to me.... I could not believe that here I was sitting in the middle of no where and this guy had read this book that had changed my way of thinking...

The next day we were welcomed by yet another couple that were camping just a few sites over...  they wanted to know if we had any eggs to share with their steak they had for breakfast.

HELL YEAH!! We had a wonderful breakfast, surrounded by wonderful woods, the smell of eggs, steak, and a bubbling brook...all on a wood fire.

At the time this all happened, this book was the shiznits....  it was wild how it all clicked at the right time.

BUT...LOL.........There's always a but...

It's not the do or die... it's just what it is...a book.. a concept of a time in someones life.  Someone else's life.

Life is ever changing...

I first read it when I traded "The Tao of Pooh" to someone else for it. It was very new to me and interesting to read. But incorporating it into a lifestyle seems a bit too much. I returned it, but never got my Tao of Pooh back. What a gyp - the Tao of Pooh can easily be incorporated into life.

I really enjoyed Conversations with God when I read it years ago.

You suppose right!  It didn't help me in any way, but I'm sure it helped you in some way to say it. :)

it increased my carbon footprint apparently.

how chuffed i was.

not that carbon emissions have anything to do with a rise in the earths temperature.

I finished reading the Celestine Prophecy  a week or so ago, and the synchronicities that i noticed were awesome!  Cool stuff has been happening to me every day.

It is possible to see auras, but it takes practice though, not like the "concentrate and you'll see the whole thing" method they describe in the book

I listened to the Celesine prophecy audio book, i wasnt very impressed.

But ive read the Conversations with God books (the 3 main ones) and have listened to an hour of the "New Revelations" book on youtube.

Whether the claims are genuine it changed my life, the guy is a genius if he made it all up.

Or if he really was inspired bya higher being or a being in the astral world, its amazing stuff people shoudl pay attention too.
