Hi MoonBurn,
Hows it going?
Perhaps one of the Sacred Geometry gurus would be kind enough to post an answer. Your question reminded me of Bob Frissell's book 'Nothing in this Book is True, But it's exactly how things Are' – where he discusses Drunvalo's slant on the chakra system. He describes the chakra systems and harmonics of music as been related to the geometrical pattern called "the egg of life"!?*! Plenty of stuff like this on the net, when you have time and feel a need for diversion!
Enjoy,
S
It's my understanding that the major chakras provide energy to and interact with the physical organs that they're located near. The brow chakra, for instance, interacts with the frontal lobes of the brain, as well as the vision screen where the retinal proteins draw what you perceive with your eyes. Your spleen chakra works with your adrenal glands, and so on... I don't really know all of the connections, though if you're interested in this subject you may want to just study an anatomy book (or on the web) and draw your own conclusions.

well, if it were any different, people would still wonder why it is as it is ^_^ so my answer is, it just is [:)]

thanks for your input- i've got a lot of research to do.
i'm interested in what people think about the location of chakras and why they are where they are.
for example:
the third eye/ajna chakra is between the eyes and is responsible for perception and levels of awareness about environment/ideas/feelings and so forth. why? why not the feet or the heart?
