Dadi Ratan Mohini, the centenarian spiritual leader and chief administrator of the Brahma Kumaris, passed away on April 8, 2025. Her 100th birthday was celebrated on March 25.

The Brahmakumaris is the world's only spiritual institution led, administered and taught by women with their own theological doctrine, and they have teaching centers in almost every country in the world. They have won 7 UN peace awards for their contributions to global peace and harmony.

Over her 88-year spiritual journey, Dadi Ratan Mohini became one of the central pillars of the organisation, guiding it through key phases of expansion and social outreach.

Under her stewardship, the Brahma Kumaris the Brahma Kumaris launched campaigns focusing on women's empowerment, youth development, de-addiction, environmental conservation, and yogic farming. Her relentless efforts earned her several national and international accolades, including an honorary doctorate from Gulbarga University in 2014.

Both the Indian prime minister Narendra Modi and president Draupadi Murmu paid heart-felt tributes to Dadi Ratan Mohini.

Dadi Ratan Mohini had been unwell for the past week. On Sunday evening, her condition worsened, and she was transferred for dialysis at the Trauma Centre in Shantivan, Abu Road, Rajasthan.

In 1954, she represented the Brahma Kumaris at the World Peace Conference in Japan, and she later traveled across Asia, doing spiritual service in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia.
