Hey guys, i just signed up a few days ago and i thought i should drop in to say hi to everyone. And while i'm at it, i'll show you some of the pictures my friend made.  It's really nice.

This first image that he made was his interpretion of the astral realm.  He doesn't really know that much about astral projection and such(so am i[:I] but..... i know a little bit more[:D]).  Anyways, months ago i was talking to my friend about this magical ability that humans possess, and from that point on, i guess he got intrigued. Then soon afterwards, he made this image(There's a reason why he made this image, but that's another story). This is one of my favorite image that he made.

This second image was inspired by the fact that my friends and i were talking about aliens, space, and the other dimensions.  And we somehow come up to believe that we, as humans, were created by ancient alien races (possibly the pleiadians?). (David Icke and his website and mayatnik have something to do with it. Here is Icke's site: http://www.davidicke.com/icke/index1a.html)[;)]

For this third image, he just made it through his own inspiration. I dont' think it has anything to do with astral projection but it's really nice to look at. Sooo...... i'd thought to share it.[:P]

well that's all of my friend's images that has antyhing to do with astral.  The others are just regular art pieces.

Anyways, hope you guys like it.
ps. this is an awesome forum.

LittleNinja

oops...  I forgot the third image.

here is the third image:

ps. My friend is a soon-to-be-graphics-artist. That's why he's so good at making these images.

LittleNinja

Hey guys, it's me again.  Here are some more cool images that you can look at. (Note that these four images are not from my friend.  I found them at http://www.deviantart.com)

This image is very beautiful. I love these kinds of art.

And this one too.... awesomeness there.

and this too...

and this last one too... [;)]

I love art.  These images are just spectacular.

Edit: [V]Insert Sorry about the large pictures. I did not expect it to be THAT big.

PeacefulWarrior

Thanks for sharing those images, I particularly liked the one with the girl standing in front of the two logs as well as the one with the girl and orbs.

Here are some great images by Alex Grey:

Same one as before but hopefully larger and higher res:

Alex Grey

Alex Grey spent several years employed in a medical school morgue preparing cadavers and studying the human anatomy. During this period he began having a series of mystical experiences which transformed his agnostic existentialism to a radical transcendentalism. During the 1970s and 80s Grey did numerous performances and sculptural installations based on his visions. Grey's unique series of 21 life-sized paintings, the Sacred Mirrors, examine, in detail, physical and metaphysical anatomy of the individual. Begun in 1979, the series took a period of ten years to complete. After painting the Sacred Mirrors, Grey applied this multidimensional perspective to painted visions of crucial human experiences such as praying, kissing, copulating, pregnancy, birth and dying. Grey portrays the body as translucent, revealing complex anatomical systems and interwoven with glowing subtle energies visible to clairvoyants. Viewers recognize in his work a glimpse into the subtle spiritual archetypal domains of awareness.

Many of these works of art are reproduced in Grey's book, Sacred Mirrors: The Visionary Art of Alex Grey, published by Inner Traditions and now available in five languages. Grey has an expansive audience outside of the traditional art world. His work has been included in the album art of such popular rock groups as Nirvana and the Beastie Boys and a book of songs by the Talking Heads. The underground Techno Rave culture has extensively sampled Grey's art, using it to promote all-night dance events. Grey's vision of the human psychic anatomy has been used by the Chairman of the Department of Alternative Medicine at the National Institute of Health in Washington, D.C., who uses it in his international slide lectures. Healers, body workers and "new age" figures including Matthew Fox, Joan Borysenko and Deepak Chopra have all used his work to describe the dimensions of body, mind and spirit.

Grey's artwork has been exhibited worldwide, including Stux Gallery and the New Museum in NYC, the Grand Palais in Paris, the Sao Paulo Biennial in Brazil, the Centro Culturale Zittele in Venice, Italy, University Galleries of the University of Illinois, and La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles. A major exhibition of Grey's work was held at the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art in the spring of 1999. Grey was featured in a television program about the brain, mind and creativity on the Discovery Channel. He has been a keynote speaker at the International Transpersonal Association and numerous Art and Healing conferences. Articles and reviews about Grey's work have appeared in art journals and several spiritual and new age magazines. Grey has been an instructor in Artistic Anatomy and Figure Sculpture for nine years at New York University, and also teaches courses in Visionary Art with his artist wife at The Open Center in New York City, Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado and Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York.

Alex' website is, oddly enough, at www.alexgrey.com.

I can't say enough about how fantastic these images are[:O][:O][:O][8D][:)]

they definately have the look and feel of astral reality.the one on the first page, the city w/the exagerrated colors on the bottom picture of Peacefulwarriors post on page 1-reminded me of an astral reality I visited once-it felt and looked kinda like that, only the colors were even more intense by about 10 times, and it was all countryside from where I was.

also, the one of the girl walking towards the portal made by 2 toppled trees,w/the subdued atmosphere, has the feel of another place I visited during the same 'trip'.everything was blue-purple, only it was also shining and translucent.and in the reality I visited, the plant life was really strange...

I would actually like to produce some artwork based on my experiences.I just need to 'brush up' on my technique.[:)]
The musical conciousness is mind beneath the sun.

jason

I would also like to add that I'm not sure how I would capture the colors I've seen...some of them have no comparison in any kind of paint[:(]

PeacefulWarrior

Yes Jason, I know that you mean.  Of course art can only go so far in its quest to capture what can only be expereinced first hand.

To all:
Can anyone find anymore images out there in the web to post?  If so, please link them in!  Thanks!

By the way, if you want to save any of these images to your own computers harddrive, simply right click on them and then choose SAVE FILE AS and you will be able to save the file to any folder or to your desktop and then be able to use it as a screensaver, etc.

Hey, hello everyone.[:)] Recently i was on a road trip so didn't have the time to post this picture.  It's from www.deviantart.com .

Hope you guys like it.

Jason: Yea, i really like the picture of the girl going to the portal made by those two trees too.  As a matter of fact, that picture is set as my desktop wallpaper for two or three weeks now.

PeacefulWarrior

Whoa...that last one is stunning...and a little disconcerting.

Here's more from the same source:

Here are some more from www.deviantart.com.  Please take note that i've resized most of these pictures to a smaller version.  I changed the size because i do not want people with slow internet connection to have to go through the long process of having to wait for all these pictures to load. If you want the orginal pictures, just go to www.deviantart.com and use the search engine. Type in the names of these pictures i've posted and it should give you some pictures.  Search through these pictures to find the one that you are looking for.

Anyways, here they are:

Ok... for this one, i thought i should post it since i remembered when i was reading the forum awhile back where ther'es this one person who mentioned the [?]Dragon[?] in the astral. That person asked about what would happened if we were to destroy it or be destroyed by it in the astral.

I think this next one is pretty cool.

This one is cool too.

This next one is great.  I think it's cool how they put the two white figures holding hands. The two figures could represent two astral bodies exchanging energy.  I dont' know a lot about exchanging energy but read only those posts i found people talking about on this forum.

Here's another picture similar to the description from what people were talking about somewhere on the forum. Or.... it's how i imagined it.

well.. hope you guys like it.

PeacefulWarrior:  That picture = nice.

Edit: Or do you guys want the original size for these pictures? I can do that.  Any way is fine by me.

Edit again: IF you want to know the name of these pictures, just right click with your mouse on the picture and choose properties. A menu should pop up. Now look near the top of the menu, there should be a name given. Use that name to search in the www.deviantart.com search engine, but exclude the .jpg from the name when you are searching.

LittleNinja

Hey Shadowatcher, thanks.[:P]

shadowatcher

BTW, whats up with your avatar image?

LittleNinja

Hehe.  That little dude there in my avatar is UNLEASHING HIS ULTIMATE POWER.... in other words, he's farting.[:I]  If you or anybody thinks it's a little bit disturbing then i can take it off, just tell me or just pm me.  But really, that avatar is just for fun.  Hehe.  I meant no harm.[:D]

jason

hehe...[:D]that's a funny avatar.I like how the sign falls apart from the 'earthquake'[;)].

many people here are way too serious sometimes...

Hey, here are some more nice pictures from www.deviantart.com. Please take note that i have resized most of the pictures on here to a smaller version.

Again here it is:

This one looks like someone is holding out their hands to do some white light magic.

Here's a girl and her faeries in a magical garden.

Another beautiful faery

I dont' know about this picture but i feel like i have to post it.

Because there is a good and a dark side to the the astral, I believe that one should not just post all the good qualities and forget the bad.  Soooo.... here is the darker version of the astral realm.

Enjoy!!!

Edit: I forgot to resized the last image.

PeacefulWarrior

Hey Little Ninja great pics!  Thanks so much.  Keep 'em coming!

I especially like the one with the hands.

Hey PeacefulWarrior, i have no problem posting them at all.  Hehehe. But the "keep 'em coming!" part is a little bit difficult for me to do right now since i'm running out of materials to post. [:I] I'll try to find more soon..... if i can.[:P]  And, thanks for the complement on those pictures. Bye for now.
