vibrations? or excitement?

Hi everyone,

Last night, after I had meditated to relax my entire body and whatnot, I started to feel waves of sleep come over me.  I was laying down, and noticed how my body felt like it had sunk in my bed about 4 inches or so (specifically my right hand at first, then my body).

Soon, I felt like the entire bed (and my body) was rotating counterclockwise (so I would be flipping over).  I tried to grab my bed and prevent myself from flipping, and I felt myself remain at about a 90 degree angle almost (even though I knew if I opened my eyes I would be normal).

I had gotten pretty excited/nervous over the whole experience, and while I was still in this awkward position, I felt my physical body shaking almost uncontrollably (kind of like shivering, but I wasn't cold).

Anyway, to me, (and from what Ive read on these forums, it sounds like it may have been a small form of vibrations).  The reason why I have doubt is because I felt "too awake" in a sense.  I thought I would have had to been in an almost "sleeping" state.  Eventually, I just got up and got a drink of water (my whole body was tingling and numb).

My questions are (and I am new to this, so please bear with me):

Would these be considered vibrations (or at least small ones)?

I have read about how to go from vibrations to an OBE, but I feel that when I had whatever i experienced, there was nothing I could do to get out of that state (besides just opening my eyes and ending it).  Any tips?

Thanks, and I apologize for the lengthy post.

Nice experience :) ... well I really don't know if they actually were Vibrations or not. Vibes (vibrations) are different from one person to another, but let me tell you that when I had strong (very strong) vibes I was fully awake as you said, so YES, you can be completely awake and feel the vibes...
Strong Vibes feel like: being inside a twister, electricity without pain, being inside a washing machine, and things like that. They are unmistakable when they are there.
Soft Vibes feel like: waves of electricity without pain, very strong tingling through your body, etc.

When you are "in the show", with strong vibes, it's very easy to exit ... just RELAX and if you don't exit naturally (without doing anything) just use the Rope Technique, the Roll Technique or anyone. If you are feeling the strong vibes, you are really really really close to the exit...
If you don't know what those techniques are, just do a search of rope technique in the board and you will find a good description...

Question: Didn't you hear strange sounds like "Bangs" from a gun, thunders, voices, whatever ?

Good Luck !

Thanks for the response.

Actually, I did hear something that sounded like rushing water, but it just felt too faint to actually seem relevant.

each person is different. i would definitly consider this progress. just keep practicing is the best advice i can give :)

now that you are familiar with that state, get back to it and take it a step further. next time take it a step further than that. keep up that pace and progress will come fast and noticeable ;)
