Another successful projection

I had another successful projection last night, but it lacked clarity.  I came close this time to doing something, but I just couldn't quite wake up in there - my energy seemed low and divided between my physical body and my projected one.  Frustrating, but intriguing too.  My journal from last night:

January 2nd, 2010

Successful projection again.  I found myself lying on my side half awake and I noticed that my arm was paralyzed and I thought, "hey, my arm is paralyzed".  Exactly at that moment, the vibrations came and I became very aware.  My body rolled from one side to the other in a 180 degree arc and I thought I was going to roll out of my body, but I didn't.  The feeling was much like a flower bud opening.  Instead of getting out, I ended up rolling all around the room - the room I was in wasn't well defined however, and it didn't seem like my room.  I kept having the vibrations and I rolled and rolled to no avail.  At one point I could feel my socks peeling off my feet from moving back and forth.  I also remember hearing a cricket going by my ear.

Suddenly, I was standing.  In front of  me was grandma!  I was very surprised to see her, in fact I was almost scared.  I blurted out, "what are you doing here?"  Then I noticed that my perception was strange.  My left side seemed quite clear while my right side was literally still asleep...I couldn't see out of my right eye and that side also seemed so groggy it couldn't perceive almost at all.  My grandma was drinking a glass of water and it was night time.  I wanted to say something, but all I could utter was "grandma, grandma!" in an unnatural way, like I was heavily drugged.  Then she looked in my direction with a confused look, like she was trying to see something, but couldn't.  Then for some strange reason, I felt fear and discomfort.  She walked away, towards the bathroom.

Now I was alone.  My perception was still clouded and dark.  I tried to yell, "clarity now!", but I think I tried to say it with my physical mouth, just like when I called for my grandma.  It wasn't effective.  Then I thought it in my mind and it got a little brighter.  I then realized that my right side was the side that was physically in touch with the pillow and immediately I had dual perception of being in the dream and also in my bed.  I could feel the pillow clearly and realized that side of me was utterly asleep.  My perception then became very black.

I was wandering around in complete blackness and half awake in there.  My perception didn't become clearer, nor could I wake up.  I walked on and on and then had the thought that someone said you could have projections for a long time.  I then realized I had been in there for 10 or 15 minutes in the dark.  That felt strange and then I thought about other entities around me and that I couldn't react to them since I was barely functional.  That thought gave me the creeps and I wanted to get out right then.

I tried to wake up by shocking my body or blinking my eyes.  I partially succeeded and found myself again in a bed on my side, only it wasn't  my house, but more like an apartment building.  I heard a TV downstairs or in the next room - something like a news show, but it was odd sounding, almost like chanting at times.  In my right ear I was hearing a crackling, buzzing electric sound.  My third eye felt very agitated as well, buzzing with energy.  I began to really want to get out of there fully, but I knew I was yet again in the vibrational state. I wasn't frightened, I just wanted out, and the place felt creepy to me.  Suddenly, an icy cold hand grabbed my foot and that really shocked me.  I began to wake up slowly out of that state finally, and eventually I fully woke up.  I did a couple reality checks to make sure I was really awake.  I was.

Interestingly, my third eye remained stimulated for at least ten minutes after waking.  I was also very light headed.  Eventually, those sensations went away.  Intriguing, but not a very satisfactory experience.  I want more control and clarity in doing this practice.

Hi Rising Son
Despite the confusion that you experienced during this OBE you still did well and made the best out of difficult conditions. Sometimes just managing to Have an OBE and stay out of body for several minutes is a victory. My only advice is next time continue with the affirmation "Clarity Now !" and any other affirmation that you can think of. Sometimes the subconscious needs to be impressed with the urgency of gaining clarity of vision and of thought. So repeated urgent affirmations May eventually work.

Thanks for the reply Grey.  I know I need to keep up the affirmations while in an OBE.  They have been effective so far, but I seem to "forget" to keep repeating them.
