Concentration problem

First time I tried astral projection I could get into trance and I got the vibrations... but I couldn't get out of my body, now i wanted to try another few times to project but I couldn't even get in trance anymore, always when I relax and begin to concentrate and count every breath i take, I begin to feel my heart more and more, I feel it beating..., i don't know how to describe, It's somehow uncomfortable and i can't concentrate anymore. and then when I try another time, I'll have them same problems and now I think its always becoming worse because i always have in mind my heart will beat...  :?

Hello HIdDeN

The heartbeat is a very common sensation and you have to learn to ignore it.  Just as you know it is not your physical body literally "vibrating", it is not your physical heart beating too fast.  

Perhaps you should NOT concentrate on what is happening so much and let your mind drift instead.  Focus on a pleasant scene and "lose yourself" in it.  You may bypass all the sensations and find yourself floating around somewhere.

thanks for the reply Sarah. I already tried to ignore it but wasn't really able to ignore it, maybe if i try more and as u said concentrate on something else, then it will probably work better.

If your concentration is already being forced onto your heart, you should go with it. There is a technique where you find your heartbeat and then relax each body part by putting your attention on it until you can feel your heart beating there. Then return to your heart and start counting its beats like you might with music, counting time. After you have been counting time with your heart for a while you will then be able to slow your counting and your heartbeat will also slow to match your counting time. This way you can slow your heartbeat and then use a projection technique to get out, once the body is slowed down enough that it won't get in the way.

I already tried to concentrate on my heart beats and count them but I simply don't feel comfortable doing it,and cant relax then, I don't know the reasons but somehow I cant concentrate at all by feeling it beating too much, will try ignoring the heart beats first because that was the way I could relax get in trance and the vibrations before some weeks. if after some practice I still cant get the heart beating out of my mind, I will try the technique of counting the heart beats.
