Question about meditation ... ?

Ok I know this is not the right section ... but I don't know where to put it...

My question is, Can I meditate while lying down on my bed ?
Or do I have to sit ?

People meditate since ages in sitting position. Its because it prevents you mostly from
falling asleep. Though its of course also possible to meditate in every possible position.
