astral projection and talking to a sleeping person

since it would seem like everyone is out of their bodies during sleep (it seems like that from the information i've read), would it be possible to talk with them or enter dreams (or something like that).
also, could you do that if they didnt know astral projection?

from my experience in the astral there are places where many people who are asleep in real life not knowing they are projecting just wander and when you try to talk to them they have nothing interesting to say at all.
