Relax the Ego. Face yourself and know yourself. Identify your Ego and learn to relax it. The most powerful magic that can be done on earth.

There are clues to recognizing the Ego. You know that avatar of you on WoW, that level 43 orc warrior? Well, if technology keeps up, Teamspeak is just the very tip of the iceberg. Full immersion into a computer game. That avatar has more than just your voice, you can see through its eyes, move its body, be it.

Now step back. You're playing a game. That avatar isn't you, is it? Well, in a way it is – it has your voice, and it acts as you desire it. So maybe it is you. Maybe you get lost playing, forget you are playing at all . . .

Step back again. That person reading this – that's your Ego. Just a step back from an avatar.

Want to project/phase/explore infinity? Well, then let's step back . . .

He's comparing life to a computer game. Sort of like Shakespeare's comparison of life to a play. "And all the men and women merely players," except maybe there's more to it than that after the play.

Ah yes, the ego.  Mactombs and I had a conversation about this yesterday while waiting for our movie to start.  For me, understanding this concept doesn't help with anything, but for others (and maybe even Mactombs) this kind of understanding might help with their goal of projecting.

Basically, I never understood what my Ego was until I was in a Focus 10 state and this idea presented itself to me. Recognizing your Ego is very important, as is learning to relax on a physical and mental level.

I also believe that computer technology will unveil things as it advances. Total immersion is one of these things - having images plugged straight into your brain, for instance, being able to create a gaming avatar to your liking and play with people around the world. All these things are going to have a massive effect on this generation and future generations.

Also, thanks for that quote by Deepak. And the one by Shakespeare, which I'd heard before, but never thought of on this level. They're both good illustrations on the point I was trying to communicate.
