Am I Lucid Dreaming?

I'm sure others have experienced this same thing. I'll take a nap but with the TV still on as well as other things, and I can still hear everything but it sort of drowns out and I start dreaming. It seems just like random thoughts but it's a dream. When I finally realize it's a dream I suddenly hear the TV perfectly, lose the dream, and wake up. If I try to reestablish the dream it just seems like I'm forcing myself to think about certain things. Any help would be appreciated (:

That's a good indication that your attention is going inward as the tv and sounds around you fade.

I do that sometimes with my tick-tock clock that drove me nuts, but I use it now.
When I don't hear the clock, then I know I'm almost there when trying to go deep and stay lucid.

It gets interesting after maintaining a lucid state while the body goes asleep and you black out for a quick sleep and then wake up in different states.
Wake up with a shock in the spine blasting into your head, looking at your room in RTZ, or just find yourself flying in the astral.

The question will be, where will I wake up today?

That would be fine too though, but the problem is everytime I realize the TV's faded out or that I'm dreaming, the TV comes back fully and I wake up. It's like I'm trying to force myself not to fall asleep and I'm remembering when I notice I'm dreaming, "Oh that's right we should be up." Even if I really don't have anything to do ):

I don't think you're Lucid Dreaming. I think it's Hypnagogic Imagery because that will explain why your seeing vivid imagery while being able to hear external noises, like your T.V. at the same time or right after you become aware that your falling asleep/dreaming.
