I'm not necessarily putting labels on anything, my nature is ask tons of questions all day long.  It used to drive my parents crazy, but I believe you get smarter by constantly questioning things around you

Asking questions is wonderful, nothing wrong with that.  I ask endless questions too.   :-)   But do you think having a preconceived idea of what you are suppose to experience, might have a negative effect?  I think the astral is as personal as a fingerprint and someone else' experience in whatever focus, may not be what normally would happen to you because, well... you are you.  Is this what they call a negative, positive?  :-P

I watched almost all of Ghost Adventures last night.  It was interesting.  They brought out some new thingy to catch ghost on camera.  Not a night vision camera but a Ultraviolet ray thingy.  I think. lol  Apparently you can capture any kind of energy from the top of the spectrum to the darkest end.  I was hoping someone else watched it and could give more technical input about it.  They use those EMF detectors.. but I don't know how much you can trust that.  Don't those things go off if you are standing near any kind of electrical current? Like the wiring in the house.. or maybe an exposed wire inside the wall you can't see...

I was surprised that I didn't turn the channel right away... now if the head guy would stop wearing muscle shirts, it might be worth watching every week.  :-D

I guess... I don't see it in that particular way.
I mean, I'm only relaying how I view the worlds which we can not physically see.
I don't believe I'm telling people what to experience.

What I mean is that people are gonna come here looking for information... that's WHY they're on the forum.  Information to help them define what they're experiencing so that they don't think they're absolutely nuts, and information on how they can duplicate the experience.  :)

At least that's how I see it.  :)

OHOHOH!  I know the episode you're talking about!  That was actually one of my favourites.  :)

They were using the camera and they captured something coming out of the door and go lie down on the bed/couch.
Yeah that was pretty cool.

That's probably my favourite "ghost show" just cause of HOW they do them.  Just the three of them with no professional camera crew.

My other favourite episode is from a Ghost Hunters ep... where they caught a very clear evp of a 'countess' or something in a hotel room that she frequented.  I'll have to find a link for it, cause it's eerily creepy!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3JjOnClaV0 <-- found it!  Obviously, the final judgment call is up to the listeners.  ;)
But this single clip, if it's truly real, does throw some monkey wrenches into PR and myself's conclusions due to the very interactive nature of the spirit in question.  LoL

Maybe, but if you read Adrian Cooper's book we're all supposed to go (when we die) to the astral plane that most suits our belief system right before we died.  So if you're a Catholic you're most likely to wind up in some Catholic "Astral Vatican" out there in space somewhere

He is cute, lol.
I think I may have seen one like that.  Did it look like a bunch of little pinpoint lights and you could see some fuzzy stuff that looked violet-y?

I think this is the part of the show that Nay is talking about...
Very cool UV capture.

Ah, it's not the one I thought, but I did see that one.

I have read quite a bit of Adrian's book, but my puter blew up and I lost it.   :-(

I agree that we will find ourselves in a area with like minded souls, but you can't honestly say that all Catholics are alike.  There are differences that make our paths unique.  All I'm saying is I believe that personal experience is more valuable than someone else' idea of what they think is valuable.  I'm also saying it's fine to read other people's experiences and take something from it, if it fits you.

I agree.  The kind of catholicism I got (went to a catholic school all the way through elementary and high school) is extremely different than the catholicism taught where I live- the difference is amazing, actually.  I do believe we all walk different paths, regardless of upbringing and culture.
And I also think that even though learning from someone else is valuable (because we all need a conceptual framework to go from) eventually we all get different things from it, and make up our minds, hopefully based on experience.  Hopefully.

I watched a stage show with Julia Sweeney called Letting Go of God and I so appreciated the way she described most religions.  She was raised a very strict Catholic.  From a young age she started asking questions to the Priests, that seemed quite put out for her endless questions.  Faith is a big word in religion.  Most of all, I love her sense of humor thru it all. I recommend anyone watching that.

Awesome, I love Julia Sweeney (thanks for sharing!). I grew up in a very religious family and I find it odd how strictly dedicated everyone else is (grandparents, kids, grandkids, cousins, sister) and how much it helps them, and then how I seem to be the only one who seriously questioned it.

But I do have awesome spiritual conversations with my mom and her ideas overlap mine quite often. A couple nights ago she was telling me about how her and my dad first wanted to retire in the mountains, then they bought a lot in the mountains. They loved it, and then wanted a trailer on it, so they bought a trailer. They loved that, but then wanted to build the guest apartment. Then they got that built and have a nice place to stay, but now they desperately want to build the main house, but can't sell their home here first because of the market. I said, but you've got a nice place to stay in the mountains right now, and you go every other week, that's pretty darn nice. And she said "Yes, I've been thinking that same thing... you have to be content in the present moment to enjoy life".

I think realizing things like that are the real revelations in life, no matter what your religious beliefs are. I suppose that is a way of questioning your faith and making it practical living.

Am I even on topic? Sorry...

Naykid

Did you listen to the whole thing?  You have to search a bit, but it is all there.  I just love her too!  I can relate to her, in the sense that God isn't what I thought either.  And holy cow... Jesus was an A-hole.

I would love to live in the mountains....  I could be so happy there.   :-)

It's Robert Bruce's coined term for the Etheric.  It stands for "Real Time Zone".
It's when you project into, say, your bedroom or somewhere here on Earth.
