Did I get the phase technique for the first time? (short)

Okay so I was meditating in bed and got to the mind awake/body asleep state with only mini lapses in consciousness. Suddenly I felt like my laptop was sitting on my lap and I reached out my hand to touch it. As I did the whole scene opened up in my astral eyes. My room was very clear and lit with a purple hue. I looked at my laptop and all these cool things were happening on the screen... game characters jumping around and patterns. I thought to myself "omg I think I got it" referring to the phase. Then at the same time I heard in my head really loud "Yipeeeeee" and a moment later I lost the scene.

When the conditions are right, yes it can happen that easily and that fast. This is what makes Phasing almost effortless when compared to the classic Etheric OBE or the steps to a Lucid Dream.

In Phasing, you either relax yourself into the Mind Awake/ Body Asleep Focus 10 state or notice when you have arrived there naturally; and then you take advantage of the state. This is the instant in time where it really helps to have an Intent already decided and ready to be applied.

In this case, it seems that you quickly recognized the MABA state, but without an Intent ready to go, you got what reads to me like a kind of 'hybrid' obe: Your bedroom and the purple hue sound like a bit of a RTZ/Etheric OBE; the laptop and dancing images sound like a bit of hypnogogia, and finally the quick and smooth transition sounds like Phasing. I'm not sure just where the Yippee!! came from but I'd take that as a confirmation, lol. Nicely done!

Now you've had a good example of the mental/physical state of MABA to look for or guide yourself towards. And with an Intent ready to go. Well done!

I think my intent was just to get some kind of visual scene. I'm not very good at visualisation but I'm trying to learn using the doorway technique. I don't think I was expecting to actually have some astral sight without first going through a traditional WBTB exit. I'm excited to try again tomorrow and next time I will try to have a clear intention on my mind.

This is great to read. I'm actually excited for you, can't wait to read more. :-)
Remember, You came here to this physical earth to experience it in its physical form. NPR will always be there.

In re-reading the last posts in your Void Question thread, I saw that you mentioned being taken to a hospital-setting and also where you felt like a kitten being lifted by the scruff of the neck and taken somewhere. These are significant experiences so please don't discount them when considering what Intentions you should be attempting for your ongoing explorations.

Early in our unfolding experiences, many of us get a certain leeway or freedom to try different things. At some point and usually earlier than we want, our experiences start being driven and directed where we may not expect; this apparently is where the teaching/instruction becomes more evident. None of this is happening by accident and our interpretations of certain aspects should not be ignored. Being directed to a hospital-setting likely means one or more things: First, you may be there for your own personal healing or some adjustments; Second, you may be directed to a hospital to learn about Soul Retrievals and the issues involved; Third, it may be to learn about NP healing in general. The kitty-grabbed-by-the-scruff-of-the-neck feeling is probably your accurate characterization of your being assisted and directed into a NP environment by a more advanced being, maybe an Instructor/Teacher/your Higher Self. Part of the significance of these types of experiences is recognizing and accepting your characterization or interpretation of certain aspects and what they might mean.

At the end of my Fieldtrip experience, I became overwhelmed by the situation and someone(?) hauled me out of there by the scruff of my neck and gave me a gentle foot to the butt to send me home. My interpretation of what that meant was unmistakable.

So, all I wanted to point out is that two possible Intentions are already available to you; to re-explore either of those two prior experiences, since you seem to have already been directed there; they can be a little insistent until each lesson is learned. Or you can apply what seems to be the standard default Intention, which is something like- Show me the next best lesson or experience for my learning/advancement.

Feel free to try some other ideas, but if your experiences seem to end early or get short-circuited somehow, this could be why...that they want you to learn something else.

Thank you Nameless!

EscapeVelocity thank you for your reply that really gave me something to think about. It's true I am often taken to a hospital setting and have not 100% figured out what I am supposed to do there. Setting my intention to go back is a good idea and what you said about being guided explains why I have been struggling to go astral snowboarding in the french alps haha

Definitely not discounting my past experiences but I want to learn the phase technique so that I can hopefully get a little more consistency. Otherwise, I end up going long stretches of time, and then it almost feels like I'm back at square one.

But yes I will definitely try to recreate my past experiences and see what happens. With the doorway visualization technique, I am going to add hospital double doors to the list of entryways I can cycle through.

I am lousy at math but getting better at connecting dots...and puzzles.

Even the more experienced among us are continuing to experiment with and develop new Phasing techniques; Lumaza is the resident Master.

One Phasing technique is what we call a Rundown, which is a visualization that you create for yourself that involves two key components: Movement and rhythm. Put it together in any way you want: Dancing, gymnastics, surfing...etc. Your wish to go astral snowboarding in the Alps is perfect! Get yourself relaxed and somewhat close to that F10 MABA state and then start your snowboarding visualization. Get into the movement and rhythm of it and go with the flow. If it changes form on you then go with that, but go with the flow. At some point express your Intent on a final destination but let the visual play out as it will.

When it works, the visual takes on its own life and you are just along for the ride; the difficulty now is just not to interfere with it. This is a really fun and cool technique!

And I will again give credit to the first person I know of to have kind of codified this technique and that is Selski with her Trampoline Rundown. Genius girl...

As a side note, I find it interesting that your snowboarding fantasy wish may possibly have been a subconscious signal for me to recommend the Rundown technique. You answered your own question within your response.

Funny how the Multiverse works that way...

Thank you so much for your help EV. I have been experimenting the last few days and have actually found it so much easier to visualise snowboarding or faster paced movement in general than say walking through the forest so I will continue with it and see how it goes  :-)

Progress wise so far I am still just getting to the stage of having astral sight but am unable to hold it for long. I know I can do a little better with indirect techniques but I'm hoping if I can dedicate myself to this I might get a little more consistency.

Will keep trying.

Thank you so much again.

You are very welcome! I never found any success with the 'walking through the woods or down the nature trail' kind of visualization either. Once I added some more speed, some more movement and rhythm to it, some up and down feeling...that seemed to help with either an Etheric kind of shake me loose, semi-physical dislocation of my energy body or it served a psychological sense of disconnection that facilitated a Phasing transition.

The first few times it worked, I thought this is it, it's this simple! But it didn't always work; sometimes I had to wait for one or more transitional shifts and go with the flow. When it happened easily, it was absurdly simple. But sometimes I thought I was right there, but still couldn't complete the process. So there are still some intangibles, and many of us still run into them. When and how to apply an Intention seems like one of the intangibles.

Try the technique for a week or two and if little in the way of results, take a week off. Sometimes we need this down time to subconsciously incorporate the new information. It's a 'feel' thing if you're not quite ready for the next step, so feel for it and if you think you do feel the need, then trust it and take a break. Start to learn to trust your subconscious side; talk to it if you can. That's easy for me to say but honestly I still feel quite the idiot, lol!
