I became a vegan (I don't consume any animal products) for this reason. It didn't seem to really help, I'm now a raw foodist & this seems to help somewhat. You have nothing to lose by trying it & you'll definately have more WAKing energy.

Hey Qui-Gon Jinn,
I read one time about the "keeler system", a system of OBE,s
through dietary control.
I never gave it a try as I am a bit of a carnivore, & a few other
pre-requisites I didnt have.
My sister is a vegetarian & said it had some effect, but not major.
But it must have worked for some!

All the best in your journeys

Hi Sandy and Mobius, I´m already a vegeterian, taking small steps every day towards a vegan lifestile.  And it pretty much speaks for itself when thinks about that fruits, vegetables and grains are more energizing and uplifting than the heavy, heavy meats...  and dairy products for that matter.. but I don´t think it is the difference between OBE success and failure, at least not for the majority of people.  Anyway, thx for your input.
PS. If you are in any way interrested in diet and what it can do for you (and not do for you..), read "A Diet For A New America" by John Robbins, awesome work.

I focused on diet heavily when I first started OBE training.  The diet I used was this: carrot juice, lots of water, raw vegetables and absolutely minimal cooked food and starch and preferably no meat.

The best thing is that your body doesn't get dragged down during digestion because there's no heavy food to digest.  Unfortunately this is a nuisance of a diet and it wasn't much fun to be on!  (Ok, except for the fruit salads!)  But I can say that your body will feel healthier and I think you will be in a far better position to do this sort of work.  (I'm way off the diet now and OBE training is now really hard!!!)  Another by-product of this diet is that - especially if no cooked food and almost no starch is eaten - that you can work insane hours.  I survived on it while working 20-hour days during a particularly insane time at work.

Of course people who are naturally talented for OBEs can eat what they like.  I contacted Bob Peterson years ago and he said he probably ate way too much meat if anything.

(I got the diet idea from D Scott Rogo's book "Leaving the Body : A Complete Guide to Astral Projection" which is still available today.)

Yes, diet is totally an individual kind of thing...in other words, what you eat is up to you because everybody's mind, body and spirit are different.

With that said I still believe that a diet composed of mainly fruits and veggies, and very little meat and dairy products, is a safe bet for everyone who wants to "transcend" their bodies and rise to "new levels of perception"...

Does diet play any significant role in the ability to project?? (besides of course the obvious role of for example "heavy" food that makes you sleepy and therefore makes it harder...)
Some people thinks a vegetarian diet is to recommend, thoughts, comments?  Perhaps any specific food that "energizes" the physical/etheric bod/y/ies significantly and thereby strenghtens its ability to generate the subtle bodies etc etc!??´
