Does metallic jewelry inhibit OBE's

I have read a couple places that metallic jewelry inhibits OBE's is that just a bunch of fear based propaganda or is there any truth to that. Would sleeping with earrings in inhibit OBE's? I have not seen this topic here and I want to know what people really think. Also I've noticed it's almost impossible to project while sleeping in contacts, but I think that's just because I can't get my eye's conformable.

I had about 10 years OOBE exploration under my belt before reading Bob Monroe's 'Journeys Out of the Body'... After reading it... I started to become obsessed with the 'head facing magnetic North' thing. Guess what? I suddenly found it difficult to get a good experience unless I faced my bed northwards. 

Since then I have realised I can be anywhere... even a moving vehicle. It was purely down to suggestible belief.

These things make sense though.. that's the problem. It makes sense that it works well because magnetics is mysterious... the same with metal inhibition (faeries were said to be destroyed by iron)... crystals and weird electrical equipment.

I wear earrings and I can ap.  I have read that you should not wear jewellery and you should have your head faced north.  I read ap books as a guide.  I take the good things out of it and I ignore what I think is rubbish.  The authors of ap books are just like you and me.  There is nothing special about them.  Just my opinion.   If you think it will be hard as you wear jewellery ap will become hard.  Anything you think is hard will be become a lot harder to ap.  If you do put any restrictions on yourself you will be able to ap a lot easier.

Metals and plastics generally suppress your aura. Wood and stone are pro-spiritual. That's why pyramids and monuments were all stone, limestone, quartz and so on. Crystals are good, metals and plastic are bad. To what extent? I have no idea. How does that relate to AP? I don't know. However, there are instruments that measure your aura and voltage in the presence of different objects. Google/Youtube Dan Winter, he talks about such stuff and many many more but I really have no idea how silver or gold would relate to AP success.

Weren't ancient monuments made of limestone, sandstone and granite because it was the only material available? Bronze, copper and iron weren't adopted as monuments and used for structures because of the limitations of large scale metal casting techniques... that didn't come into being until the industrial revolution.

Also.. The mayans actually made their monuments and pyramids out of a mixture of concrete and plaster (which they tinted different colours).
