I am new to this forum and have always been extremely skeptical of other physic abilities like telekinesis, but experiencing the vibration state of astral projection has made me a believer although I have yet to actually project. anyway I was wondering does sleeping without covers increase your chances of separating? Because I have tried sleeping under covers and I am i lot less successful than when I am sleeping without covers (get more violent vibrations without covers). Hope someone responds!

Thanks

Whether you cover yourself or not is only a factor if the covers cause discomfort.  Vibrations don't cause an OBE, they are signs of movement of consciousness away from the physical, and nothing more.
If you're too comfortable you may fall asleep, and if you're not comfortable enough, you may not get into a deep enough trance to project.

Thanks for responding so quick! I also Have another question I dont get vibrations on my upper body or head? Are full body vibrations required to separate? Also dont hear any roaring noises which people talk about.

CFTraveler

Vibrations are not required at all.  They are a side effect only.  If you are feeling vibrations in some parts of your body and not others, then what you are probably perceiving are energy movement sensations and not separation vibrations, probably.  Sounds are often heard when in very deep trance or at the moment of separation.  So if you hear nothing it probably means you're not close enough yet.
Don't focus on sensations, focus on what your mind is doing.  Observe yourself, possibly do something (there are lots of meditation types, and anything works- energy works, pranayama, even just watching your breathing, visualizations if that's your thing) anything to keep your mind busy until you feel you're almost going to sleep.  Then you must stay as aware as possible, and wait for something to change.  When it does, then either try an exit tech or get ready to use one, provided you're going for an OBE.

Alright so I should just try to get into a deeper trance and just kind of let everything happen?

CFTraveler

Depends on what you are trying to do.  I would recommend doing an exit technique after getting to trance if the object is a conscious OBE.

charmsloo

Thanks I try an exit method! Trying to do conscious obe

That depends on how you usually sleep. If you are habitual of sleeping with covers, then not covering would be beneficial because this slight change will be perceived by your mind and will help you remain conscious for longer time at the border of sleep. However, don't rely on covers, IMHO, your mind will adapt to anything.... anything that is external. He is a master of this art, he knows how to put you to sleep. :)

The only sure way is to train your mind, slowly and persistently to remain on the border of sleep. There are hundreds of meditation techniques for such training, take your pick.

He is your mind. :)
You're referring to what people call the Higher Self?  Oversoul?  Etc?

Gotcha.

Yeah Psan I find I am able to hold consciousness when lying on my back with few covers. However, I still dont get any noises, but I am starting to feel my head pulse almost lie my head is pounding but not painful.

That sounds like you're just becoming aware of the blood flow through your head.  :)
As we relax, we become aware of these kinds of things to a much greater degree.  It's a good sign that you're starting to turn your attention and focus inwards.

It doesn't matter how you sleep or position. I ran experiments on this for 3 years and found out exactly what I needed to know. You can sleep in a car, underneath a bridge, on a airplane, in the arms of your loved one. You still can project no matter what. Sure you need to be comfortable and relaxed to enter the trance state that is w/o no doubt.

Focus on entering the trance state and vibrations.

Hope this helps,

No. I meant the subconscious part, which adapts to all external changes you bring about to keep yourself from going unconscious during sleep. It is programmed to put you to sleep, naturally, that is necessary for survival. You can fool it a few times, but it is smart enough to adapt.
Sorry guys for causing confusion with that poetic line.
