hmmm im excited to hear what happens.

lachrymist

This post was meant to be a reply to the subject about a dragon that is capturing people and eating them alive.  Some people were mentioning that they would like to defeat the dragon so i was just wondering what would happen if you lost.

jilola

I must've missed the discussion. It sounds like runaway emotions.
My guess: You'd get booted back to your body.

Yeah thats what i thoguht.  Thanks for the answer.

dragon eating ppl? it cant hurt you since its in the astral plane.. so dont worry about it.

jilola

I read the thread by Frere.
It seems to me that it's a reflection based on a common mythological manifestation. What it is a reflection of is hard to tell. Perhaps the fear of entering a region that seems like one is being swallowed.

Also I think the more you fight this type of situation the more difficult it becomes to get rid of it.

Someone should start a post on whether you could get injured in the astral plane...wait...I just did...so check it out.

Greytraveller

It might be possible to face down a dragon. Mighty unlikely but still possible. [:O]
There are been various reports of encounters with dragons in the astral planes (not ethereal planes) and many other creatures too. Why anyone would want to engage a creature as powerful as a dragon is another question.[?]
If a fight did take place and the person lost then that person would most likely be banished from that astral plane for a Very Long time. Maybe permanently. It's doubtful that the person would actually suffer any injuries, either physical or nonphysical. Maybe injuries Could be sustained as a result of an out of body encounter. I don't know for certain, it just seems highly unlikely. [B)]

no harm can be done in the astral. you have nothing that can be harmed. you're just a free point of consciousness basically, from what i understand..

as far as being banned from the astral, the only thing that can ban you from the astral is dogma/your subconscious. its almost like an idea that was created to stop people from ap'ing if theyd been trying to do 'bad' things. there is nothing to ban you from the astral just as there is nothing that can really ban you from the physical. except maybe a gun or a knife or a heavy club or something.. a car operated by a drunk... but those things are different [:)]

I'm sure it comes from his training. Basic move in an RPG. When you encounter unkown entities, and they don't have a dialog pop up, it's usually a random battle, so you fight them. Unless your HP is low. In that case, you might want to select the RUN AWAY  option and hope they don't hit you from behind.
I need a signature that isn't stupid. :/

Yes.  Perhaps the Dragon in question is an Archetype. Some say, myself included, this one represents primal power, the Kundalini.  Perhaps it is a Portent.  Mother Shipton also saw a Dragon in her visions. Perhaps it is the same Dragon, that would be one way of explaining the Dragon eating lots of people.  While the Kundalini does so in more subtle ways.

Dragons are reported in the Astral and so are human beings.  Humans tend to fight, maim and kill just about anything that seems frightening.  So I could see why a person would want to attack and kill a Dragon.  Although it is not what I would choose.

If it's a mother shipton like Dragon, kiss your butt goodbye, or get someone else to do it for you. LOL. [:O]

I'd just like to see it. could you imagine that? Being able to see a real dragon, that would just be too cool for words.

My question is how do you KNOW there is no greater power that could ban a troublesome or violent person from an astral (or ethereal) plane[?] Apparently you do not believe in God or the concept of a Supreme Being[?]
While I respect anyone opinions and beliefs on this matter I hold to my personal experience. And that indicates that it is possible to enforce a ban in certain super-physical realms. [:O]

That's true, Grey, I don't believe in such things in the way you might think of them. IMO, there's nothing that will judge you and send you to Heaven or Hell after death, nothing that prefers some people over others simply because of religious beliefs that it itself offered mankind, and nothing that will ban you from the astral planes. The closest thing to a monotheistic God that I believe in is the way karma works, and that's pretty far off.

How do you know that there's something that can ban you from the astral planes? That'd be like chopping out a whole chunk of your spirit.

From Monroe :

"A lot of the teaching talks about being a good person, being non-violent and generally cooperating with others. I note, though, that people through the ages have taken this to mean only Spiritually pure people, and the like, can have access to the Astral. Which is not true.
You can be as evil as they come and the Astral will welcome you with open arms."

If there's a Supreme Being (I wont give it a theological discussion) then I guess it doesnt belong to the Astral, as for the Physical, but a far Supreme Plane - yet I cant talk about it but some people as RB say to have experienced some cool things on this topic. Basically I think you assume that "God" wont "ban" you from the Physical as it is an inferior plane he doesnt have to deal with - for any spiritual reason like being tested down here. I assume thats exactly the same for the Astral.

Fyrenze

Personally, I see real dragons everywhere. But I think I'm just crazy. No, I just am always thinking about them; I've always loved the leviathans..If I knew how to contact my animal guide, or if I was advanced enough for it to contact me, I about about 80% certain it would be a dragon. Also, once I obtain a bit of regularity in my astral travels, I would probably assume the form of one now and then - I used to dream I was a dragon.

P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

Fyrenze

Also, I'm not quite sure why you'd want to attack a dragon either - and I'm not sure why they always get the bad guy rep...You might as well be angry at the earthworm for tunneling through the soil...Indubitably, dragons hold the key to many mystical secrets - whether they're all in our minds or not, they will always be my favorite myth.
P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

Fyrenze, I don't think your crazy at all. In fact, anyone who thinks or says that you are, do so because they have no concept of realities outside of their own realm of experience. It's an ignorance we all have at times!  In such a complex cosmos as our's, wouldn't everything possible in thought be a reality somewhere?

I have seen two Dragons in my time.  One was green like the heart chakra and I helped to free it from an entity that was abusing it's capabilities.  The other was a Red Dragon I met when the Guides brought me to experiencing a Kundalini raising to the third eye chakra. Both were very very real, despite anyone else's concept of what is real. I include archetypal manifestations as real too, particularly in the spiritual realms.

The Red one and I joined together, which is a wild experience.  And since then it has raised inside me a number of times, causing me to fight for the control of the powerful energies that coursed through my physical body.  During one Soul journey I was confronted by something that I initially took as frightening, only to find that I automatically 'morphed' into the Red Dragon, the strongest defence I knew at the time.  I thought my reaction was quite funny once I got through the fear.

So dear brother you are definately not crazy.  Well at least I hope not, otherwise I must be too.  LOL.
All the best in your journeys. [8)]

Love always.

In the Orient, the dragon is considered the luckiest symbol!  Think of THAT the next time you run into one on the Astral.

On the Occidental side (i.e., most of our home countries), the Dragon used to be a symbol of wild power (among other things) . . . but the Church demonized it, along with so many other pre-christian things that did not fit into Church mythology.  The dragon was cast into the pit with the Old Gods and other mythical beings (like the serpent, an ancient symbol of wisdom and regeneration), and despised.  They became the Bad Guys in fireside stories, books, and then later, movies, pinball games, and computer games.

Please people, READ YOUR ANCIENT HISTORY before deciding whether or not you want to take on an ancient being on the astral.  If you defeat the dragon, WHAT HAVE YOU DEFEATED?  Your own wild power?  Your own fierceness?  Will you feel better now that you are now docile and tame, the way Church and Society want you to be?  That's what all those medieval dragon-battle stories are about, you know.

In my opinion, if you are visited by a real dragon on the Astral, you've probably been blessed. You'll still be scared out of your mind, because you're normal. I had a Teacher tell me once that if I ever came face-to-face with true power, I'd probably wet my pants.  He's probably right.

HALT!
I seem to have missed the start of this debate

The dragon I evoqued was on THIS topic
http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5791

Lachrymist:
You would loose the "fight" if you think fighting it is some kind of WAR. This dragon, is a collective neg, so it has to be fought the same way one fights his own negs: by not fearing them, by thinking about more interesting things, or even by giving them a little and gentle tap on the head saying "who are you little figure? I bet you need some love!"
So please don't even think about ATTACKING the dragon, the only way to defeat it in my dream was saying a certain prayer, spectially writen within a team of three persons, it was needed to be three, but then you are simply assured of winning, and if you don't, it will start over, if you're stuck at some point, I assume you see yourself rotting, and might also wake up in sweat... but I'm not sure this dragon will be defeated this year!

I have to correct you on this because I've actually been swallowed by the dragon in my dream, and very interesting things happend inside it. The only thing that disturbs me is that all other people were not capable of saving themselves from the dragon, I was the only one to be able to escape, so I've been much concerned about the fate of all these persons, who actually were people that I apreciated.

Tayesin your interpretations are very interesting, I'm starting to wonder if the dragon is not some kind of power that I have, and that, used as it is right now, has tendency to injure my surrounding.

yet I still have an idea about this dragon being something more general that might concern a larger amout of people than just myself...

Trisha: I don't think being mild means being stupidly tame... I think mild power is stronger than any other... but life could sure show me I'm wrong?!

ANYWAY! all video game players have to review their attitude: fighting such entity is not like in "the matrix" giving punches and kicks or even trying to harm the entity NO... it is something really different. And if you loose, what you do just has no effect.

Tayesin

Hi Frere, just had another thought on the Dragon you posted about.  In the growing UFO literature, more people are having contact with what they describe as Reptilians or Dracos.  The info seems to point to that race coming here.  In my own experience of a conversation with one of them during a Soul journey, I was told that they would be here very soon and that most of them would do things we see as 'evil'.  Perhaps many unions of three working together could help to lessen the impact of them if they do come.

About ten years ago two friends and I had a very close encounter with an alien craft, that we had seen in the sky and wanted to experiment with telepathic communications.  We called them to us and they responded very quickly, coming within 100 yards of us as we sat in a circle.  The experiment by the three of us was very successful, so we theorized and decided that if you can call them then you must also be able to send them away. Just a thought.

Love always.

Frère

interesting, but hard to seize for me though. I have doubt that my dragon was a reptilian one it did not have scales, and rather looked theoric, even if his actions were real... but I assume the way you fight one kind of evil, that way you can fight another...
