Electricity and the Ethereal?????

Dont know if this belongs here..........

Me and my buddies were sitting close to a Power Pylon last night. We could hear the electricity surging through the lines. So we got onto the subject of wattage and power stations. Then one of them knew the power outage of the local power station. The max amps was 150000 amps. I know that 5 amps kill you. A couple more and your ash.

So my question is : You'll turn into molecules instantly, duh!! but what effect would this have on your ethereal body. I kinda think it wouldnt realize whats happened and just kinda sit there.........if your whole body dissapears instantly, does your spirit just carryone floating there in the same space? And what effect would so many amps and volts have on your ethereal body itself, i mean its alot of energy?

Bring your digital camera next time! You'd be amazed at what likes to hang out in that field of energy. I'm not sure exactly sure of all the effects of electro-magnetic energy on/in the etheric...astrally I come across a lot of "power stations"...and it's highly sticky stuff! Physically it's all still polarized particles...alive or dead. I know that power lines are like super-highways for dis-bodied/light entities. Much more going on than meets the eye. Orb central!

Not much at all! The etherial body is energy of a much higher order. It would be similar to the idea that a high powered radio transmitter has no effect on a beam of light. It's all energy, but different frequencies.

Some spirits don't like the kind of EM fields generated by such electrical energy, but it's more annoyance value than harmful.

Would you realize your dead or do you think you'd just continue to float there, but suddenly in spirit of course........?? Dying through 150000amps would take less that like 0.01 seconds i rate......

But theoretically you'd de-moleculorize and be vaped, no ash, no shoes, no nothing............who needs cremation........lol

It is probably an automatic switch which clicks on or off when your body dies, no matter how it dies and how quickly. Maybe it can realize that the silver chord is slack or not connected........if you believe in the chord that is,........

I know ghosts are souls that have not realized theyre dead, so its probably that swithing mechanism of theirs that hasn't kicked in.

You're right there. The other thing is sometimes they don't know HOW they died, and that can leave them stuck here. A pile of ash on the ground or even nothing more than a bad smell in the air might clue them in to the fact that something's gone badly pear shaped, but the how could be a sticking point!

Just last week I helped the the spirit of a 15y.o. girl to cross over. She'd been stuck here since 1969 because of a few factors. She'd lost consciousness just prior to her death, she wasn't sure what happened, and she ran away from "spirit helpers" who had come to help her cross over just after her death. She didn't believe in angels, so when she saw beings that looked like them, she thought it was some kind of trick and ran away.

Thing was, she'd actually come to grips with the fact she had died, but because of the missing pieces, she was still emotionally bound to the physical plane and couldn't move on.

I was able to help her accept the presence of a guide that came down again to help her cross over. When, with a bit of reassurance that this "big guy in white" as she called him was legit, she took hold of the guide's hands and all the memories of her death, a car accident, came flooding back. Once all the missing pieces had come back to her, she was able to let go of her emotional attachment, and I watched the guide take her away.

So you're right Slayer. Most times a death is straight forward, and for the spirit its "right I'm outta here!" Sometimes there's something that stops a spirit from either knowing the physical body has died, or holds them back.

This is actually all quite hectic for me...........been a born again christian all my life........stopped going to church like 3 years ago......dont know why.....something out of the blue one day just drove me away??

Then i after a few years end up here.....and guess what.......you know...........all my "lessons" on the church side of things started becoming questionable........especially the fact that going astral was evil and that your body could be taken over by a demon when your out and you cannot return.................or something about losing connectivity to the silver chord..................so now i am stuck.........i have been almost completely convinced that you guys tell the truth......however.......internal beliefs still rip at me.................................

The bible, which i still believe to be true, rejects calling spirits from the dead or communicating with them, saying only the holy himself is to do this...............?..........what counter would you have for that......need help?......

Actually i would have to disagree, I have gotten caught while passing through walls from metals and power lines before, and many other people have experienced this as well when trying to go through certain metals, so most likely the electricity would effect the etheric body in some way.

well if your body gets vapourized, or demolecularized,(sp?) alot f your etheric body is the physical energies in your body as well. If you were vapourized, your energies would go with the physical molecules, so either your etheric body would ge vapourized too, or else it would be diminished and slightly weaker.

If electricity does affect the astral....or some astral plane on a specific vibration, could one use it to your advantage by trying to project in areas where electricity is abundant. eg. Lighting storms, under powerline etc............. Theory being that you astral body could charge from that energy, boost power levels or something..........?

We have electricity running through our bodies all the time, so surely there is some astral connection aswell to this electricity........??

Any other experienced ones experienced anyting with electricity?

5 amps can kill? it depends on voltage.

Actually i would have to disagree, I have gotten caught while passing through walls from metals and power lines before, and many other people have experienced this as well when trying to go through certain metals, so most likely the electricity would effect the etheric body in some way.

If you've experienced this while projecting, don't forget your experience will still be biased by your current thoughts about EM physics. That is, you may have subconsciously expected to have it affect you.

It is true that EM energy does have some effect on spirits, and visa versa. My meditation group uses a small tape recorder in case any of us starts channeling, and its not uncommon for the thing to completely die while a spirit is close by, only to start working again after.

Consider though that the effect of EM energy on spirits is more like a bad smell than anything harmful. Its more a conscious effect than a profound effect.
Though they do roughly follow the same laws of physics regarding energy, the energies that make up our spirit selves are of a completely different order of magnitude to the EM spectrum we are familiar with. Were this not true, and the two more closely related, I'm sure we'd already have instrumentation available that could measure the level of spirit energy about us.

I had no bias as i experienced this since my first real time projection. I tried to fly through my window, but i couldn't get through the screen. So I floated up to my sister's room which has no screen over the window and i went right through. It was all very unexpected as I didn't think physical objects could effect you at all. I have also gotten caught in some walls in my house, while most i do go right through.
