Favourite Method of Inducing Trance

If it's for the purpose of relaxing deeply, i do it with my "conditioned reflexes" (raf! raf!)..i know sounds very Pavlovian..[;)]

Just lying down, relaxing deliberately, without thinking about anything, just truly relaxing, mentaly also, gives the quickest results.

Yep thats basically all I do. Just relax mentally and physically. But my problem is I can get that far, and not be able to feel my body, then I dont get any weird sensations or anything. (Maybe I should try to DO something while like this [:P])
Heh, I solved my own problem (I think), thats something new.
Yea so to recap, just relax I guess, and dont mind my other bit of rambling.

If my mind is clear and awake but really relaxed, not tensing over anything, i have this eerie feeling that "things" can happen easily, at the slightest prompting..vibrations or whatever.

Maybe it's maintaining a delicate balance between falling into sleep and being relaxed enough (mentaly) to allow oneself to experience something not created by imagination (i don't know if you follow what i'm trying to say, i know skeptics might have a different theory about this!)

That's how it seems to me. And of course the constant pursuit of some "genuine" experience (psychic, RTZ,AP), probably contributes to bring something on..

Just my suggestions for increasing weird feelings![;)]

Thanks. I think I do understand what you are saying. Ill try some various things that I just found on some other sites. Ill let you know how it goes!

I recently discovered a personal method for falling into a trance, for meditation purposes, i guess i can use it for AP.. tho im not focusing on AP at the moment.

I sit in a chair.
I have found that lyin in bed almost always makes me fall asleep or loose myself in the trance.
Sitting in a chair gives me more control and are relaxed at the same time, when i have the good position with legs and arms.
Best is 90degree angle on the legs, and arms in the lap with one hand in the other.

Then i sit and relax for a moment, accepting my thoughts as the physical part of myself.
Im not trying to remove the thoughts, i just accept them and focus on the part that is not the physical.
How to this is abit tricky at first because i was always trying to make somekind of 3Dstuff in my mind to focus on to remove myself from the thinking mind.
This just made my thoughts expand into that environment and it made me loose myself.

When i was meditating or doing trancework i would feel this feeling in my body that made me feel a warmth of energy moving inside my body and around me.
Now, this feeling is veeeery weak at first.

Before, i would not use that feeling for anything than just letting it move around on its own.

Nowdays i use it for getting into a trance.
When i sit and relax i can feel this feeling inside me somewhere on the body, its like a very weak exstacy feeling(veryvery weak).
When i focus on this feeling, i kind of remove myself from the physical senses and how the physical world works.
I focus and just flow along, it becomes stronger and stronger and spread around my body.
After a while i become the feeling and are floating in the void(total blackness and exstacy).

I can get into this trance ina very short time, usually in like 5min im inside and then i phase out and are back in my body feeling all relaxed and can sit and gase at the stuff in my room with a total peace in mind.

This method is really effective for me.
Because this feeling is somehow not related with the physical part of myself i can sit and meditate almost everywhere.
There can be dogs barking, people moving around in the room or telephone ringing, i would still be focused on the trancework.

Lets say you hold out your hands in front of yourself.
Look at them.
Now your left hand is your state you want to focus on and your right hand is your physical part.
Look at your left hand and focus on that one, and at the same time blow at your right hand.
This is how i feel it when starting to go into a trance.
I can feel the right hand but im focusing on the left one.
Holding my focus will make me jump into the left side after some time, knowing this makes me relax and not really think about the right hand, i know the right hand is there but it doesnt annoy me.

Accept and trust the process will make this method really effective.
