Hey guys, i browse here often but rarely post and now I've got a problem I've decided to leave my shell and put it forward to you guys.

Basically i can relax and get to a point where my whole body is kinda heavy(ish) this takes me about 20-40mins which does me nice cause i enjoy this period. Then the bad part comes, i lie there and nothing happens, I've try a method (rope), I've stared behind my eyes, I've tried doing nothing and still nothing. I'm not asleep because i can still hear the world around me to be honest I'm wide awake just relaxed. After a while i decide to cut it out and get up feeling rested. Ive also tried franks hypno cd which is great as it reduces the time takes me to relax in half but still has not sent me west.

What you think guys, I'm not trying to hard but have a will to project. All help appreciated.

PS, id also like to add, i don't get swept away with mind chatter, I've overcome this quite well I'm just lying there thinking of projection or trying to feel whats going on, which in most cases is nothing but a nice relaxing feeling.

I think that sounds pretty normal for a beginner. When I don't project (which is more often than I'd like) I do what you're doing - just lay there. But sometimes, things will move forward, vibrations start on their own, see a vision, or a surprise phase. It's pretty sudden when it happens, so keep trying. It dosen't sound like you're doing anything wrong. It took me a long time... and I'm still trying hard. I don't know if it ever gets easy.

Practice every day (if possible)

Maybe the vibration take a bit longer for you to come. Try more longer next time and you will surely be more easy to exit out.

And maybe you can begin to focus on lucid dreams and dreams too ... They are a good way to pratice too.

What really helped me feel vibrations at first was picturing myself falling or climbing down.  Picture yourself going down a ladder until you feel you're about to go to sleep.  Or picture yourself falling down an endless pit... anything... once you feel you're gonna fall asleep, picture yourself floating in the air, couple inches from your cieling... looking at it... vibrations should hit.  It did for me... everyones different.  Try your own things.
