Hey guys, well im new to this website, and the whole OOBE thing. I have been practicing techniques for AP on and off for the past two weeks , with some success. But i guess i get anxious sometimes. Anyway, i had strange out of body experience, it was short, but it also really opened my eyes(or my mind).
Okay lets get to it ! :D

So i went to bet in my moms room, because she was gone for the night. I had been up playing computer games all night and was very tired when i went to bed at 12pm.. I slept untill about 3pm then my mom walked into the room and woke me up, being as tired as i was i got up and went to my own bed and drifted off.. Next thing i know im sitting in the chair i had been in all night playing the games, it seamed so real, as if i was still sitting there infront of the computer. But as soon as i was in the chair, i started to doze off, like you would in waking hours if you where comfy and tired. Then my astral eyes shut, all i saw was darkness, then in a second i heard a ,"VROOOM" like when a fast motorcycle zips by, that sound, and as i heard this i felt like my i just flew rapidly out of my body directly infront of it,maybe 5 feet! Then I opened my eyes and i was looking at the window about 15 feet infront of the chair, but i was really close to it! I thought to myself " I must be out of my body!" so i turned around to see my body, and it was'nt there, the chair was'nt there, my bed was'nt there.. But i could see the stack of old vhs tapesand a few other things that are under my bed. And sadly that's all i recall, but one thing i have noticed is what little bit of dreams i remember, usually the day after i can close my eyes and almost see them  playing back again.. Strange.. But anyways i hope you guys enjoy this as much as i did, (even though i think it was just a baby step :P).

Well first, the point at which you found yourself sitting in your computer chair again... that was a dream.  When I say that was a "dream", what I mean is that you were non-physical but didn't quite realize it yet.  It wasn't until you had that sense of movement when you began to question your reality.  That was the point you became consciously aware while you were non-physical.  THAT was when your experience became an astral projection.

It was more than a baby step... it was a projection.  :)

Also, now that i got my mind on it. I kend of knew i was dreaming, but was not really "aware" so to speak, because i remember thinking "wait i was in bed how did i get here" as i looked down and saw my body and realized i was in the chair afew feet from my body(its funny because i had the shirt and shorts that i really went to sleep in!) , and thats when i started falling asleep in my "dream". And as soon as my eyes shut the last time "vrooom!" haha i can still kind of feel the sensation of zooming thru the air it was marvelous! Anyways Thanks!

It's a perceptual and interpretational thing.

Ignore what you've read about the RTZ or an "etheric" projection.  It's just not as cut and dried as some people think it is.  The "rules" that a lot of people have laid out that you've no doubt read and believed simply don't work.  There are very few rules that I've found to exist.

You didn't see your physical body, because when you project, you're not projecting in *THIS* physical reality.  You're projecting in a reality created from your conscious & subconscious mind.  That might or might not include a "host" body which you would then believe to be your physical body.

What humanity calls a "dream", to me, simply doesn't exist.  There is no such thing as a "dream".  There is only an experience you have in the non-physical while being unaware of that fact.  That's what a dream is... an unaware non-physical experience.  So when you're "dreaming", you're projecting.  It's all a projection... everything is... including this physical reality experience.  A projection of consciousness.

I break it down into three levels: dream awareness, lucid awareness and astral awareness.

A dream awareness - you're the actor who doesn't know you're in a play.
A lucid awareness - you're the actor who knows they're in a play, but plays along with it anyway.
An astral awareness - you're the director of the play with full control over yourself.

Another property of an astral awareness experience is if you have what I call a "waking awareness".  A waking awareness is what you have right now while physically awake and aware.   You know who you are, what you are, with all memories of such intact.  If you have a waking awareness while you're non-physical, then you're astrally aware.  An Astral Projection.

I'll tell you this... everything I've read on this subject up until now has been mostly full of crap... confusing crap.  LoL  When I started having more experiences and was able to actually begin testing and verifying things for myself, I found my conclusions became vastly different than anything I ever read.  This was mostly because I was able to look at things from a completely "consciousness" perspective.  When you look at everything from a perspective that all is one and all is consciousness you can begin to put together all the answers.

Anyway, that's a little besides the point right now.  Just continue to experience.  You're definitely doing fine.  :)
