I was sleeping on my couch, it was very early in the morning when I woke up. I was up for about 5 minutes and layed back down and shortly after falling asleep again, I woke up with vibrations. I proceeded to roll out of my body, got up and ran toward the wall to jump through it and go outside. When I left the ground I hit the wall and fell down onto the floor lol. When this happened I for some reason automatically assumed that I had ACTUALLY woken up, ran into the wall, and my OBE attempt had failed. From there, I got up and went upstairs to take a shower, things seemed out of place but I couldn't really put the pieces together before finally waking up still laying on my couch. I thought this was hilarious when I woke up, and I was mad at my ignorance.
Ok, that IS pretty funny....
So, you OBE'd into the physical spirit-body and slammed yourself into a wall.... Hillarious.....
Physical spirit-body is what you usually end up in when you roll out, which is why you hit the wall so hard... lol.... Because the physical spirit has difficulty passing thru objects. You need to engage your 3D body to do that effectively.
That's a classical case of a "False Awakening". Many people experience this (even non-APers or LDers remember such instances although they say it was a strange dream of getting up from bed).
haha i have also ran into walls and windows trying to go outside. I've found it's much easier to use the door lol
haha, you can say it was a false awakening, but it wasn't, it WAS an OBE, because when I rolled out I knew I was out but when I hit the wall and fell to the ground it wasn't until then that I thought I was actually awake. I guess you could say at this point it was a false awakening inside of an OBE, if that makes sense. One of the stranger experiences I've had, nevertheless I LOL'd hard when I woke up.
the really strange thing is every single OBE i've had probably about 7 or 8 at this point, I have had no problem moving through anything, but this time the wall owned me lol, any thoughts?

Yes, that is what I meant, I consider FEs as OBEs, too. Actually I do not differentiate between OBE, Lucid Dreams etc. so it makes no difference anyway for me.
You might have just had some subconscious doubts about being able to move through walls which prevented you from doing so. I've had trouble going through walls and flying because of that

That is exactly what I thought, but then again it doesn't make sense because I have had no problem moving through solid objects before.

You can open the door. Or simply use your intent of thought to "teleport" you around.
I used to have problems with walls but developed a few techniques that helped:
. putting my hand forward like superman
. creating or searching for a window to fly through
. turning my shoulder toward the wall like you're breaking down a door
. closing your astral eyes so you don't see the wall
I no longer have issues with walls but for some reason rarely get through a roof!
