Do astral beings have sex?

I'm not sure where I read about this, probably James Redfield's books... and William Buhlman also asks the question (but doesn't provide answer).

Anyway, do you think there is such a thing as sex in any other dimensions?  If so, what purpose does it serve? If not, why not.

Supposedly yes.  Robert Monroe was spreading it around quite a bit....  The experience is a union, ie a merging of two individuals, it's not like physical sex, much superior apparently.  It's a kind of cosmic/religious bonding thing....

Basically, anything we can do down "here" is a poor man's version of something we can do up "there"... so yes sex is possible in the astral.  "As above so below" as they used to say.

I see no reason why it should be impossible. Physical is only a subset of Higher world, so I guess its obvious.

I've experienced something similar to physical once, although I was not so lucid that time.

I think they do at some of the "higher" realms, but above that I think gender and opposites is transcended and sex is pointless. In Far Journeys, Monroe says that the feeling of oneness (I'm paraphrasing here) experienced at these higher levels far outshines any physical sex experienced in the time-space reality.

As a more specific reply, I'd like to say I sure hope so!

I'm still working out the whole Astral Projection thing but I would like to think that in the Astral world that sex was just as cherished and emotional and fulfilling as it is here on earth. At the same time, here on earth, sex is a bad word to use in public, or embarrassing at least. It's a very private (usually) and sacred ritual and hell I know the next person enjoys it just as much as I do. So it's funny that it is so private even though it's pretty much the only thing we earthlings get to have for dessert after eating a heaping plate of LIFE...

When I do project, I hope I will find that the symbolization of sex is corrected on that realm as something that is related to extreme emotion sharing and a very sacred thing, and when I say corrected, I mean to say that the symbolization of sex is broken here in the waking life, and sex has come to a point where it has been highly construed and strained and confused. Sex = Emotion, Love, Sharing, Heart, Red, Blood, Warmth, Compassion, Selfless etc

Basically, I am saying that even though I've never fully projected, I somehow know that sex is a million times better there than it is here Because it is not only sex, but sex restored. Not affected by societies view of how something is, etc, etc. I suspect many other areas of life are greatly enhanced by labels being removed

As an added bonus we can also do without all those pesky venereal diseases that are here in the physical. Not that I have had any problems with that or anything.

Well I'm new to the forum and this must be one of the most random things to have my say in first but as I know about it I thought what the hell.
I've been able to AP for a while, my partner has helped me with it and well yes you can have sex astrally, and it's very common to do so as just like humans physically need to reproduce the same happens astrally
