It is not a problem that you are a deep sleeper.
During oobe you don't sleep, it is only your body what is sleeping ;
Your conscious mind must not be asleep.

This is why the meditation is one of the important ability to develop in
the early times. You have to find the best method for you.
A simple exercise:
try to concentrate at a point, for example, find a point on the wall to
concentrate at it. You are successful, when your mind doesn't go away.
The main point is to think about _nothing_.

Doing energy works helps you even if you cannot stay conscious for longer time. If your energy system is well developed, you will experience spontaneous oobes.

Do you always fall asleep during an attempt? Besides getting more sleep, you can make projection attempts from a straight-backed chair. Your body can keep itself upright in a trance just fine, but not in sleep. (Of course it's harder to relax and get into a trance when you're not lying down, but it's apparently quite doable with plenty of practice.)

You could always try projecting in the morning while your body is rested and relaxed, and you can concentrate......

OK, I'm a n00b, but I have found what's keeping me from going OOB (at least I think I have). I  believe the reason I can't is because I am too deep a sleeper.
I remember I saw some things on the main site that said they might work, at least, I thought I did, but I can't find it again.

So, my question is what might help me sleep lighter so that I may be more sucessful?
