Hey, I use my awareness hands to relax, too. I just imagine them relaxing my body, part by part, and it really helps me relax physically.

I can definitely relate to your beginnings, since I was there not even a few months ago. I find that I become relaxed just by using my awareness hands to stimulate the secondary energy in my feet then my legs. I became pretty good, feeling some very noticeable energy sensations in my lower regions. After a couple weeks of that I moved and did the same thing with my hands and arms. Each session would last about 15 to 20 minutes, and by the time I got done, I was very relaxed. It wasn't until I became good at the secondary circuits did I begin to raise my energy, and the relaxtion I feel as a consequence is very refreshing. I just feel my awareness hands massaging me. I should have explained it better in my previous pot.
Robert Bruce talks about that.
What I do is I inhale and those mental hands stroke my legs forward. I do that about 3 times then I just move them on my legs freely.
I started to develop this about a week ago. I do it frequently:
1) Either running the mental hands up and down my body to try and relax me
(haven't gotten very profound results yet)
or
2) Drawing energy into myself through my legs.
Has this tech worked for anyone else, and how long did it take to develop this area? I want to AP, but I feel I need to work on these things to develop my focus, energy, and relaxation to a strong point.
