Well for starters I dont believe we go to the Astral when we die.

When u die it will be a long butt trip to heaven and u will go through many planes...My thought.

now i'm confused... i thought that many people believe that when you die, you go one of the astral planes; where exactly you go depending on your personal beliefs, etc. and i've heard people comment that they can visit deceased loved ones on the astral. i've read that people who believe in heaven & jesus will go to an area on the astral that "caters" to your beliefs until you are ready to move on to a higher plane.  people who were not part of any belief system usually skip that part and go to meet their spirit guides, and take astral "classes".  my friend's brother did not believe in any particular religion, and so i figure he might be at an astral college or something.  and i've read that OBE's prepare us for what we will experience when we die... that dying is just a permanent OBE.  so where do we go when we die?  and what are you saying happened here?  that my friend did not actually speak with his brother, that his mind did some kind of wish fulfillment?

jc84, i'm not saying that the guy's brother went straight to heaven, either, but supposedly there are astral locations that people say are kind of "permanent fixtures", actual locations that many people visit and report seeing the same thing, they all have the same descriptions of the places.  so i was wondering if he was at a particular point in the astral plane.

hephaestus, where do you believe we go when we die?

Curiousgirl,

What you said for the most part fits in perfectly with what Robert Bruce says (except for the part about class... never heard anything like that before, but I wouldn't doubt it), and most probably Monroe as well, among others. When you die, your consciousness just shifts to the next-highest plane: the astral. Your etheric energy, the same you used in the physical, will eventually run out and after 1 or 2 weeks (or maybe much longer if you die unnaturally in an intense moment), and you will ascend further, according to Robert Bruce in his articles. Robert has encountered people in the astral after death if I'm not mistaken, and this is where he gets the info.

As far as the moonlight.. I've came across a few websites before finally finding the Astral Pulse that had information on astral projection, etc., and moonlight is supposedly extremely beautiful in the astral. Maybe that has something to do with it.
What is the sound of no leaves cloving?

I believe there are 11 Dimensions, within each of these 11 Dimensions are 7 planes of existance. We are in the 3rd Dimension and the Astral is just 1 of 7 planes that overlap eachother in our Dimension that we can visit whilst out of body.
When we die I believe (depending on our development) we will either ascend to the next Dimension, the 4th Dimension (just for clarity, when I say 4th dimension, I dont mean it as 'Time' being the 4th dimension), or we will re-incarnate within the 3rd dimension or descend to the 1st or 2nd dimensions again to relearn lessons forgot.

I believe though, that before we arrive at our new destination we exist in all levels of existance simultaneously, it is here where it is determined where we must go next, whilst here (in a place where time does not exist as we know it) it is possible for communication with loved ones in the 3rd Dimension at any point in 3rd dimensional linear time.
Perhaps here is where this place of Moonlight was.

so..... uh, none of you experienced/well-read/very knowledgeable AP'ers know of any particular fixed astral locations that have moonlight or anything?  anyone? [:D]

From my experience the astral is very much beyond words. So it is probably impossible for us to understand what is really meant by "in moonlight" only having heard about this and not actually communicated with this person(your friends brother). Your friend my have an idea if he truly was in communication with his brother, as such communication usually goes beyond words and I imagine that his brother would have "showed" him what he meant.
Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

In two lucid dreams I had a beautifull vision of the night sky. I did not see the moon, but I saw the constellation of Orion, which is visible mostly in the winter. It is one of the most beautifull and promient constellation in the sky. There are many stories and tales and legends behind Orion in many religions... and cultures. Anyhow, in one of these lucid dreams, I addressed the sky and the star and ask that the future be known to me, and the only answer I got was fear coming upon me, which I understood was the answer. In some other forums I have heard of a person who would address the planets and mainly Jupiter. Now about the moon, or more specifically the moonlight I have not heard. My best guess is that it is a paraphrase, in that sens that it does not mean that it has to be taken litteraly, but rather as image. To be in the moonlight is to be somewhere where it is calm, the sky is clear, the weather is nice, the night is soft and almost warm, with maybe some crickets, maybe the sound of the waves of the nearby sea (?), etc... I see this as a sign of peace and tranquility. It might also be something very specific that used to be between the two brothers, that maybe there were going around in the night together by the moonlight, or something similar.

I hope this help.

i have a friend who is taking classes to become a medium (mediumship classes as they call it).  one day in his class, he tried to communicate with his brother who just recently passed away.  the brother immediately came in, and they talked for a bit.  he said that it felt like his brother was sitting right next to him, with his arm around his shoulders, and that there was another presence that came with his brother that he did not know who it was.  he said it seemed like his brother's face was in his face, and they spoke telepathically, of course.  his presence was very strong, almost like in real life.  and my friend said that his brother told him that while grief is a terrible thing, this is all an illusion, that death is not how we think it is, and that the real world is where he's at, not the physical world.  the brother also said that "all was as it should be", and that he was feeling "blissful" in this place, and that he would be busy for a while, i suppose learning things in this astral realm.  he said something about being "in moonlight".  my friend was quite amazed at this experience.. he said it was awesome.

does anyone know if there is a particular astral location that fits this description?  i thought this was pretty interesting, and thought it would be neat if we knew where he's at in the astral world.
