yea it can get so fuzzy in there remembering to carry out your intentions can get lost pretty easy. One thing ive done that has helped with remembering my intention to project is to set up a list of 4 or five things like: looking up at the sky, making someone laugh, smelling something sweet, touching something warm, make a list like that with differet actions for everyday for  week or so, memorize the list for the day your at. when you wake up tell yourself to remember that it is important to take note of the occurance of the items on your list and throughout the day take note of their occurance.

This helps your remembering to do things in the future capacities. I have found i remember things i want to do or notice best when i feel that it is of extreme importance that it gets done or noticed. So really put some feeling into it stretch out your enthusiasm to remember to notice as far as possible .
If you will it it is no dream.

yep thats exactly what i do. I tell myself with urgency to take notice of any change in my state of mind as i drift off and to notice as soon as the vibes start.

WOW 4-5 hours?  Man I would go crazy!

Have you tried doing any meditating exercises?  I meditate, and get into the hypnogogic state in about 10-15 minutes.

P.S.  Cool handle, and a great song. [:D]

I've learned to not really take the advice of others to be honest.  When I first discovered OBE there were so many different techniques that one could use and I tried so many of them with little success.  Then it dawned on me... these techniques worked FOR OTHERS!  I had no foundation to believe that what worked for them would work for me.  The practices used do not have to be done specifically, it's the mind set that is important.  How you get to that mind set DOES NOT MATTER!  If it's concentration you want, other peoples techniques might work, but really you can focus on anything at all.  If it's energy work your going for, all you need is a basic understanding of what energy feels like or where chakras are generally located, and then you can make up something that works for you.  To succeed in OBE you must let go of expectations.  All the books around these days and all the different opinions are giving people ideas about what they "should" feel at this stage or what it's like at that stage.  Then when they don't achieve that exact state or sensation they think they're not doing it right.  You know about OBE and some aspects of how other people have attained it.  That's pretty much all you need to know.  Now, just experiment ON YOURSELF untill you succeed.

Well done. I feel as though that that might be my problem. Im trying other peoples methods and not getting the right sensations, therefore I feel like Im not doing it right. Ive tried to do a bit of trial and error in my practices lately, and it does feel like its working. A little tweak here and there, hopefully Ill get it just right and finally be able to project!
And Im hoping that doing NEW will help a lot too.
I think you really "figured it out". We should try our own things and experiment with ourselves instead of basing ourselves on others. My thanks goes out to you for sharing this with us.

I applaud Alpha Omega and AntiGravity for having the courage to follow their own hearts. Using the "feeling from the heart", YOUR heart, to accomplish YOUR goal, will get you there much faster than following someone else's roadmap. Advice from others may be a good thing for inspiration, encouragement, trial and error, and you may even incorporate a little of this and a little of that from other people into your own recipe. But afterall it's your cake. That's really all Robert Bruce really did. If you analyze his work, he took a little of this, a little of that, and put something together that he calls His.
