Hello. New member here. I asked a few questions in my 'new member thread' and got them answered, but I've been trying some of these Hemi-Sync meditations every day (for a whole two days now) - and some more arose, so I figured I'd ask some about them.

1. I can't seem to get to focus 12, nor am I entirely sure what they expect from it. The first time I reached focus 10 (which, I presume, is this drowsy, numb feeling in my body and a sense of heaviness and deep relaxation) - I was able to hold it for over 4 hours before I fell asleep. But I don't get anything from focus 12. The guy claims that I should have 'open extrasenses' - but nothing is really different for me.

2. Occasionally, I'll be told that I'm about to go to sleep, or are asleep. Each time this happens, I don't actually fall into normal sleep; I stay in focus 10, the 'mind awake/body asleep' thing. In case noone's used this system, perhaps I should ask this: 1. Do you fall asleep before having the OBE? I thought they were supposed to happen during the 'mind awake, body asleep' thing?

I realize many of you probably don't use this system, but this seems to be the largest OBE forum I could find, so.

It's possible that you're not actually in focus 10, but maybe focus 3, which is a deep relaxation / early trance state. F10 is a whole different state of consciousness deeper than being physically relaxed, yet aware. For me, hitting F10 is like flipping a light switch - it's very definite. I suggest becoming very familiar and comfortable with this first, at least a month or until you're confident about it. 2 days isn't much time. It's more the ticket for a traditional OBE separation in the RTZ (etheric).

Oh, thanks. I'll stick to practicing focus 3/10 then.
