What do you mean by "resistance feeling"? Physical or psychological? I have mixed experiences with the physical... I can go through my window and it's like it isn't there, but then later I might be flying around the backyard and my face will be scratched by a tree - very strange. Anyone have any idea what these inconsistencies might mean?

I usually DO feel some sort of small resistance when I pass through things.  But then again, I only feel that when I focus my attention on the fact that I'm passing through something solid.

For example, if I'm standing in front of a wall and I'm thinking about walking through it, as I do it, I feel the different layers of its makeup.

However, if I am flying really fast somewhere or not thinking about it, I'll pass through things as if they weren't there....without any penetrating feelings.  I think it all depends on what you choose to perceive.

The first few times I projected I felt going through walls, however after that I just found myself outside-I think this relates to just "phasing" into the astral-the more experience you have, the easier it is to jump into the astral.

In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

Some people find themselves sticking to power lines. Some people feel resistance going through objects unless they turn around and back up to go through them. Some people find themselves slightly affected by gravity. These are all opportunities to challenge false beliefs. It is not an easy process. I have found in lucid dreams that I can only fly about half the time.

I think to its to do with personal perception of your environment once you have obed, eg: when i go though walls, i dont think of the wall, i just think of the destination, and i pass it with no problems.

Hi Manuel,

I feel the sense of 'resistance' is entirely psychological. Since we have this enormous creative/plastic power during OBEs, if we 'expect' an object to be solid, we may either fear to get hurt (which has happened to me occasionally in the beginning, when flying through ceilings) or actually sense the object itself. When the latter happens to me, for instance when I am putting my hand through the mattress or through an other object, or even through my own physical body, I can feel a vibration, but my astral hand will in any case get through easily. But very often, when I have experienced OBE within my home (I am referring here to my earliest experiences chiefly), I simply do not see the walls.
