I thought (and here's a self-limitation!) that the blackness came before you were able to separate.  And I expected it to be a rich velvety type of blackness with loads of stars, rather like your avatar Major Tom.  :lol:

As Upstream mentions, and I think we've touched on this before, it seems that I automatically create a second body, perhaps because I am bodily-fixated.  Most times, I'm not aware what's going on until I realise I'm waving my second arms around (by then I'm always going to peel away from the physical, because I find it so addictive and enjoyable).

So when I looked out of my bedroom window (RTZ), I then 'phased' or wandered/floated/moved (actually I don't remember how I got out there).  Hmmm, interesting.

I think I need to explore this RTZ a lot further.  Stay in my room and simply "look" around.  Even climb back into the physical (if I've already stumbled out) and focus on the 3D blackness.

I'm just too much of an eager beaver - rushing out to play!!  :razz:

Yeah, it's never late to do this even while already being exited. You can always spin back to your energy body if you want to. Just fly off, put yourself in a passive state of hovering and state your intent aloud that you want to be taken back into your energy body without waking up. The more precise your order the better its result. This maneuver will reset any projection.

If for some reason you fly a lot or just want to use this trick to travel more in dreaming you may choose to look at your palm all the way along to fully detach yourself from the dream and not interfere with the transition.

You may be pressured against the ground at a seemingly random place as in the case of lucid dreaming (layered dreaming). This is where you entered the lucid dream (second layer) at the first place. Or you may fly back right to your body ready to phase or come out again.
