Title: pain in trance state
Post by: ethic on June 03, 2007, 18:53:14
Every time i get in trance state, i experiment pain on my arms, sometimes on the upper part of the forearms, and now on my shoulders, it's a pretty annoying pain that i have to suspend the meditation, after breaking the trance state in about 2 minutes or so the pain disappears, i meditate laying in the bed facing up, i don't think it's a pain of a bad posture. what could it be?

try video recording your session and when the pain occurrs, you'll be able to acess whats going on
the outside while the experience is happening on the inside.

this might help you get past this pain. i would also be careful and make sure yourdoing your research and consider your health if it interferes.

It should be relaxing, not painful. If you don't experience pain as you fall asleep every night, then there's a possibility it's psychological. Maybe try a visualization of someone massaging the pain in the areas it's felt when it happens. I find it helps relax problem areas.
