While I want to expand my conciousness and spirituality, from what I've read, when you AP, the possibilities are virtually limitless. What I'd like to be able to do is visit my little brother and take him with me after (if) I get the hang of going OOB. We're 18 years apart and right now there are some personal challenges going on within our family and although he doesn't say it, I can see it on him and feel it around him that something is going on inside he doesn't know how to express or conceive yet. I read these post and other articles etc and think how wonderful it would be to be able to share such an experience with him! I've yet to induce my own concious AP but feel and hope soon I'll be able to! Have any of you been able to "pull" loved ones or friends etc out of body?

I pulled my husband out, but he had no memory of it happening the next day.  In my AP, after I pulled him out, he walked really slow and didn't seem real 'with it.'  I couldn't get him to fly with me.  After a while, he said, 'I'm going back to bed!'  and he disappeared lol!  From what I've heard from other's reports, it can be done, but good memory from both people seems more on the rare side.

The question becomes did you REALLY pull "THEM" out of their body or did you pull out a self-created creation out of nothing?

It's like all questions pertaining to the "RTZ"...
Were you REALLY in your bedroom?  Or were you in a self-created reality which was similar to your bedroom?

The only way to facilitate a true observation of this is if the other person remembers the trip.  This "remembering" seems to be the missing part in just about EVERY scenario of this kind.

I won't say you can't do it... but I will say that it seems to be extremely hard.  I'd believe it's because whether or not it's successful isn't within YOUR power.  It's ENTIRELY up to the other individual.

I see. My next question then is since my brother is so much younger than me (entering second grade) do you guys think he would be more receptive given his age? I remember my imagination/dreams being much more than they are now, or have been at least. I've been imagining a scenario sort of like Peter Pan. In any case, I'm still actively developing my focus and correct state of mind to eject from the physical. I've been daydreaming all day today at work envisioning AP for when I get home and reminding myself to LET GO and to focus...but not focus. I'd like to say again thanks for approving me and All the posts I've read thus far have been as much insightful as inspiring. Maybe one day I'll meet some of you OOB!!!

When I was 5 I tried to pull my friend out and succeeded.
He was very lethargic and generally unresponsive. We walked a short distance and he dissapeared.
The next day at school I described his bedroom having seen it for the first time in the NP and described it well.  His recall was terrible and told his parents of the endeavor.
I wasn't allowed near him after that.

Don't expect things to work out perfectly.
In my case it was a loss of a friend due to religion and its associated scaremongering.
This being typical for the 1960's.
Today it's far more accepted and this opens up more possibilities than yesteryear.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Well where I'm at in the Bible belt there is still a fairly strong hold to old ideals. Especially religious. There are a few who are far more accepting than others, myself included, but we are seen as the "hippies" lol. Basically here if your not like the rest of the crowd or don't at least share their beliefs you're pretty much just an outcast. No big deal to me though. All is well in my circle :). One friend in particular, he and I have always had the heart to heart discussions of religion, the universe, our purpose yada yada and here lately allll I can think about is getting out of my body and be subjected to the vastness of the astral. Maybe that's my problem, thinking too much about it...anyway he and I are both very interested in finding the source. The closest thing I can remember, outside of my handful of experiences which I did not conciously initiate, was the mushroom trip he and I took. Can't really enjoy that anymore due to work and drug tests etc but I recall the trip being immensely eye opening and have wanted that feeling ever since. Can you or anyone else offer me a starting point to meditation and quieting my mind or reading material to help me at least understand more about the path I'm attempting to take? I have no internet service at my house so I'm limited on my research unless I'm at work. I've looked at a lot of books but being new to this I thought there may be a common set of literature for beginners that wouldn't overwhelm the reader right off.
