Just thought about this and wanted to find out from the forum how OBE's have helped you? Did it help with religion, spirituality, validation of life after death, making more $$, cure a sickness?

Hmm, if I'm brutally honest, I couldn't pinpoint anything OBEs have helped me with specifically. They have been an intellectual curiosity, and have helped me explore myself/reality (which is ongoing). But these things are pretty subjective.
I remember when I was about 16 and I learnt of conscious projection for the first time, I had a burning desire to achieve this. So I would go to bed about 2 hours early each night and practice.
I've had OBE experiences in my life since earliest childhood, so perhaps it's hard to imagine a viewpoint of life/reality without them there – and makes it much harder to pinpoint what effect they have had upon my life (such as I've never known any different).
I guess this leads to a (unintentional) blasé attitude towards the OBE area. When you have experienced something frequently over an extended period of time, it becomes part of daily life, and as amazing and mysterious as some view the OBE phenomenon, its just another part of my life.
I have a very laid back view of the world, and things that happen here. Perhaps my OBE experiences are the reason for this i.e. as stressful as life can  be, I can view the events from a 'higher' place - see them in context of this 'earthlife system', and see their irrelevance in the greater picture. I guess this is why I'm not particularly materialistic .

My views and understanding of reality has widened. I have a much bigger perspective of my life. Depression and stress levels have gone from a 10 to a 1.

What I'm going through in my life right now would have completely overwhelmed me a couple of years a go, but I've been in a surprisingly good mood, and I know the source of it: OBE's, meditation, & energy work.

OOBE reduced my fear of death to the point of not even being sure if i am afraid of death or only afraid of the pain which sometimes accompanies passing to the other side.

I can't really say OBE's have done much for me with respect to my beliefs. I've always been a spiritual person and believed the spirit carries on after our demise so when I had my first OBE, I just thought to myself "Cool!" I suppose that could be considered a validation then.

I still haven't validated the reality of my experiences, and I can't say I've achieved anything special so far, but like Stookie, I feel so much happier for some reason...

I used to think about nothing but making money, about how fast time passes by and how short life is... All those worries are gone now.

The glass isn't half full or half empty, there's just that much in it, deal with it!

Lately, I start to think about creation and how everything came about. When you really sit down and think about it - the skeptics will tell you it was a big bang theory, God wasn't in charge and there is no life after death.

The biggest pit full to this is 'how did God' make us' and was Adam/Eve story fact or just symbolic. Humans can procreate, but if there's nothing there to begin with how to we create? It had to come from somewhere, a higher and deeper spiritual religious power then just a big bang and formation of planets, space, and time.

I guess if this would be what OBE has brought me closer to searching, validation, questions to my answers, and inner/outer spiritual love.

Actually it happened to me the other way around. I'm a lot more afraid to die now than before, I think this world is nicer, a lot nicer, maybe I just had bad OBE experiences...

Eventually, we will die - its just a matter of how, when, and where. Hopefully, we all will have a fruitful life, experiences, joys, happiness, with the good and bad.

I would say I'm more scared of the pain then the separation. There is a little bit inside of me that part of 'final' separation which we all will be concerned with. Hence-fourth, our quest for truth..

obes helped me a lot, with making the impossible possible, and really getting me spiritually connected......i suppose that is all for my benefit tho?  because i don't see how its helped the people around me, unless I'm a better person because of my obes and that has made the people around me happier, but just a guess on that one

Since the breakup with my exgf (my first, 2.5y relationship) I've been pretty depressed and wanted to have something to believe back in (I was atheist for years).

Two months later I got this almost OBE, whitout even reading about it! I got the vibrations and found myself in a dark tunnel which was kind of exciting and frightening at the same time, but I didn't want to reach the end of the tunnel out of fear and woke up.

Since that night I have been searching for more information on the subject. I feel less depressed and even though I'm not sure I've got an OBE yet I did experience the vibrations quite a few times & that's enough proof for me that this 'reality' is not the only one & there must be life after death. Thus there's a God.

I can't really explain it that well. But it certainly gave me some wider view on everything. Knowing this life isn't going to be my last & I will be happy someday in the future again.

Yes indeed there is life after physical death. I've proved this for myself with my experiences and validations. Matter of fact, I had another excellent validation this morning.

Validations are straight forward and there's real no mystery or symbolic experiences like other ober's have. Mine, are cut to the chase without all the obstruction of guess work. Your more then welcome to visit my web site www.invisiblelight.us and view my data for the last 19yrs.

To re-cap todays validation - I was able to project, take flight and I journey'd to this town. I asked these two ladies where I happened to be geographically. The one lady said "route 49, in west Virginia offshoot around Tennessee". I asked her if it was close to coal wood of homer hickem and she said every once in awhile they get people from out of town lost asking for directions.

Anyways, when I returned from the obe - I wrote down everything first so that the data wouldn't be contaminated with my physical brain filling in the gaps. The link that I saw in this is that route route 49 west Virginia is roughly 58 miles from coal wood. Virginia & West VW border Tennessee which verified the two ladies location.

I still have some detail reviewing of these route, states in this experience but the validation and the people involved gives the experience strong support.

ps. btw, I had a relationship with this girl from college which ended with us being a part for the summer. everytime that i projected, she was there with me.. it was tough but the obe's happened almost every night!

I don't think that it's so much that the out-of-body experience has helped me. What I do think is that learning to feel and move energy was a significant turning point in my life. Because that is when everything started becoming more real. My spiritual knowledge was no longer simply intellectual knowledge. I had gone from theory to practice. And because of this, life gets clearer and clearer all the time. The OBE has of course helped this process as well.
