Title: restful sleep vs. OBE
Post by: Donni_Joy on February 22, 2002, 16:53:00
Hi Pete

Another quick one for me today :) Energy breathing (in "Astral Dynamics" or online in NEW tutorials) will help with any energy depletion. You need the energy to OBE anyway. Tiredness can be a factor post OBE but I think it all comes down to personal energy levels (from my understanding.) I am sure others have some input here too!

Cheers

So I guess, ideally, it would make better sense to set aside time just for OBE and then keep sleep time separate. Thanks.

Actually Pete the ideal would be to keep your energy body topped up with NEW and energy breathing. Not all OBE's are tiring as well, although if this is what you are aiming for in a more consistent manner, then making an attempt at a time other than when you go to sleep (i.e. pre-sleep) is more effective and higher success rate; for example in the morning when you are bright and fresh.

Hi Pete,

I haven't managed to actually project yet - not from want of trying - but I can agree about the energy breathing.  When I got the hang of energy breathing it worked/works wonders.

As for OBE vs Sleep, if you look at Robert's comments on the trance state (and a light one is required for OBE), then the heightened energy sensativity/absorption of the etheric body is going to slowly build/improve your energy levels anyway.  At least, that's a theory I have.  And, after an OBE you'll get some sleep anyway - in a much more relaxed state, meaning deeper and better sleep.  So, in theory, it should be beneficial in the end.

If anyone with experience has any comments on this, I'd appreciate the feedback.  But for the moment, I can recommend energy breathing - Great Stuff :)

One of my worries when I lay down to sleep is that if I OBE I will not  get enough rest/sleep so that I will be too tired the next day. If your body is asleep and your mind awake in trance/OBE state, do you get the same rest as if you were just sleeping with no OBE or conscious OBE?
