Emmanuel Swedenborg was a true renaissance man. If memory serves, he was a master of several sciences as well as a gifted psychic. He claims to have visited the angelic kingdom where he had conversations with angels. Many of his books are still in print and can be easily found, which says a lot about his writings since he lived around four hundred years ago.
When I was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha Nebraska (1980-1982) I met a young Airman who was into Swedenborg big-time, in fact he'd read most of his books and recommended which ones to read. I'd only read a little about the guy, but was very impressed with his abilities.
