Hiya . . .
After a while pretty much all has been said and done.. and written.

I like/respect Buhlman always have, he was published (book) before RB so I have followed him for quite some time.. prior to RB/AD.

i.e. RB uses the words skins, Buhlman uses the word membranes.

Now with my OOB experiences before ever even hearing of Buhlman I used the same descriptive. (membranes).

Now I know for certain Buhlman did not "copy" me, I had only mentioned the word to a very few close friends in the past many years.

In the beginning of ch10 (Secret of the Soul) Buhlman writes.. " This chapter will introduce you to the wide variety of currently practiced methods for initiating OOB exploration."

Personally I like rocking and roll out, that's how I used to execute the/all OOBEs when I was 4-5-6-7-8- years old (1958-9 etc) .. now did Bob Monroe/RB/Buhlman "copy me" with later reference/writings to this..

Nah..
just common OOB phenomena they beg common descriptive.

Now I like an etheric swing and sway or whirlpool
/tornado effect..
By golly someone has stolen my technique again.. I see it many OOB books...

Hi Shadow walker,

I have read Buhlmans books and enjoyed them both,alot.I have flipped to the aknoledgements page and will say that I too do not see a aknoledement to Mr Bruce nor do I know that one was due.
Mr. Bruce does comment however on Mr.Buhlmans book at the covers back.


At any rate if credit was due im sure it was honestly forgoten and last but not least I can tell you right now that of the many books i've read I find many simularitys or modified versions in most if not all of them.
I believe that the shared knowledge of past explorers get handed down to peolple who incorperate into there way and they pass it down to the new generation.With all of the books out there today its easy to get confused.I personaly had been told about climbing a ladder 17 years ago from my martail arts teacher who said he had a sister in the mid-west that was part of a group that was *MAPPING* out the astral plane.
Where did that method come from, and if it worked for me and I wrote a book,where would I truly direct the credit?

Anyways I personaly wonder sometimes what it would be like if the likes of Bruce,Buhlman,Albert,Peterson exct. Got together and exploered as well as wrote a book about o.b.e

Thanks for the answers.
I have heard the word membrane before from I think Robert Monroe,not shure about this though. The thing that made me confused was that there was such an noticeble diffrence between buhlmans first and second book. Alot of his second book had gotten new explanations to what was written in the first book. But I guess what works, works.And how many diffrent explanations about the exit can there really be.

This is a rather 'delicate' matter. But this is no big deal, as publishers make little referencing mistakes like this all the time, no matter how careful the copy editor. My publishers say they do it all the time.

Hello!
Have anyone read William Buhlmans "The secret of the soul"
I read his first book and I thought it was great,but then I read the secret of the soul and I was a little confused..I get the impresion that he has read Astral Dynamics and put many of Roberts ideas and explanations in his book without giving Robert the credit.
Take for instance the section about what happends when the body falls asleep and the energy body expands and energy flows through the chakras!
Or how about the first exercise in the tech-section,that is all ROPE as far as I can see.
Correct me if I'm wrong but have anyone else noticed this!
