You know those movies where people have been gone for days or months in some different reality, but when they come to earth it has only been like 20 minutes or so. Is that what happens in the Astral? Or is it when 10 minutes elapses on earth it is the equivalent of 10 minutes on astral plane.

From what I heard time is definitely not equal, 10 minutes away from earth time could feel like an hour in astral.  Or do I have that the other way around, I cant remember  :|

I hope thats right because I would want a longer experience than a 5 minute astral experience

Thats both possible. Time shortening and time expandings. I experienced both. But the main problem is not the maximum time during the out of body experience. The main problem is not to loose the focus. Otherwise could the experience end in a dream.

I have heard that time is similar to dreaming. Sometimes in the morning i fall back asleep and in the dream it has been hours, and i wake up and it's been twenty minutes in the waking world. I wouldn't count on it being an exact equation.

Time usually dilates so it seems like an longer experience in the astral, than it was in the physical.
My opinion is that this can be explained similarly to the theory of relativity in our physical dimension. When an individual travels at any speed approaching the speed of light time acts differently for them. Even while driving a car the person experiences a small time dilation ... like .0000001 seconds to the rest of the world.
But anyway, in the astral our bodies are vibrating at a higher frequency, which could potentially cause the time to feel longer than the physical time..
