This is based on very limited experience, but what I would do is close your eyes, relax, and begin visualizing something until you either fall alseep or project.

That should shift your conscious focus 100% into your 3rd eye and out of your physical body, which ought to result in an OBE.

Please write back and tell us how it goes.

i have also been having the same sensations recently, and i haven't done excercises recently, but i used to do them all the time.

the conlusion, or idea that i've come to about this is that it's the universe trying to tell us that we need to not let go.  we need to keep pursuing the truth and the higher dimensions of reality and not let go of our pursuits as we have done recently.

whenever the paralysis happens, i try to focus on it and see if i can keep it up, see where the sensations take me and what they're trying to tell me.  just try to open up to what you're feeling and see what happens.

good luck!

I do alot of shift work and sometimes am exhausted when I fall asleep.  This is when I get paralysis the most.  From a medical aspect this is sleep deprevation is reported to be a one cause. When I try to project from this state I get partially out and wind up giving up.  I have decided to try a sinking technique and see how long I can hold the paralysis. It is a vary noisy state. To end it I find the best was is to close my eyes.  For the longest time I always thought my eyes were open but they are not.  So I close my astral eyes and awake.

Hello
I used to get bouts of sleep paralysis very frequently also, but I found a way that worked for me to go from that state into lucid dreaming/AP.
Basically you need to overcome the fear part that often comes with SP, and you need to remember not to do the thing that comes naturally which is to struggle against it trying to move your physical body.
If you can relax while in SP, try rolling gently over to the side.  Your physical body will not move, but you may feel a brief falling sensation and then find yourself in a lucid dream/AP.  The funny thing is, when I figured this out, I stopped getting SP for a long time which was kind of frustrating!  Good luck.

What you have is a consistent opportunity to overcome your fear.

Yes, you must overcome it.

HI,
I too get sleep paralysis and it usually happens when I am just drifting off to sleep, especially when I don't want to fall asleep, like I could be reading a book, or watching a movie. Then it happens, and it's very scary, and I can't move at all, but can hear everything going on in the room. My husband says I start to mumble and he notices what is happening and then calls my name or touches me, then I come out of it. So.. I think what is being said here is to just go with it and see what happens? I have never done anything to try and make this happen. I am so interested in being able to contact my daughter who passed away 2 years ago, and this started happening to me after she passed.

I posted about a month ago on how I was having frequent episodes of sleep paralysis. Since then it seems to be getting even more frequent. Usually 3-4 nights per week. I have not projected during any of these episodes of paralysis. I usually get freaked out and try to will myself to wake up. The one time I remeber trying to project during an episode, I was unsuccesful but I remember having a euphoric sort of feeling, almost dizzying to some extent. I'm just wondering why I'm having all the paralysis experiences when I haven't really done any OBE training or exercises recently. Any advice on what I should do at the point I'm at now? Thank you
