Hi Bhikku

If you can fight off falling into sleep, you can slip into a lucid dream in this way. I'm not sure about projecting out of your body, but you could always try!

When you see with astral sight, do you see just the room? Or do you see a mixture, or something completely different?

I was drifting off to sleep one night and a willow tree was blowing gently infront of me. The colours got brighter and i could start hearing. I knew I was still laying in bed, but i was laying on grass.

The dream slowly constructed (not sure if that the right word to use) itself around me. Most times i fall alseep (mentally) before it all happens. Other times i am mentally awake enough to slip in this way.

The best to you.

Greetings all!

I also see through my eyelids before sleep, and have done since I can ever remember (as a kid I used to tell my Mother about the people that would come on my bed before I fell asleep and how they played with me).

I always see just in my room, but recently I have been playing with this ability and found I could see into the bathroom if I tried.  I have spent years trying to fight off sleep, but I only manage for about 8-10 seconds max (I thought it was an accomplishment, maybe not).

Anything else that would help slipping into a lucid dream from this point?

Anyone ever see 'monsters' or people in their rooms?  If so, do you then experience WP?  Sorry if I'm getting off-topic here.

Take care.

I see what I think are figures sometimes, but there not scary like monsters. There just standing there. Actually the other night I was able to see into my living room, and something wierd happened. I saw a bouquet of bright yellow daffodils in a vase in my living room, even though they were not there in the psyical! They were so vivid and beautiful, but were there only briefly, then dissappeared. Also, I read further into this website and found something called "real-time site" I believe this is what I may be experiencing.

If you can see through your closed eyelids, the chances are you could project from that state. Clearly an "inner projection" has already occured, and an interim phase to a full projection.

Maybe you should try "Rope" or rolling out next time it happens.

This is an interesting subject in its own right however. My best guess (which might be way off), is that this is effectively remote viewing. I don't believe it is bi-location.

One possible advantage of RV as opposed to a full AP, is memory download, as you are clearly one stage nearer to your physical memory, and perhaps even directly connected on a conscious level.

I don't know alot about RV, but I do know that expert RV'ers actually sit a desk on a hard chair in a trance state, and write as they view.

It might even be worth trying to project your vision to another location nect time it happens. If you can, please let us know.

I often see through closed eyes upon waking.  The image is usually sharp and clear, although the colours are quite pastel and ghostly - yet full of accurate details.

On one occasion, I awakened and looked at my partner lying next to me asleep - I also saw beyond her towards the window and so on.  Suddenly, I opened my physical eyes, to find that the entire scene was a perfect match for my vision - except that a pillow case was in the way and obscuring most of my partner's head from my physical vision!

Once I watched my partner cross the room as she returned from the bathroom (in the dark).  She got back into bed and I then opened my eyes to discover that I was actually facing the other way and should really have seen a wall.

On another occasion, it seemed as if someone had turned the light on in the room.  It was in the early hours and the room was totally dark, when I awakened with a click and saw the whole room (well, ceiling and walls) lit up brightly.  I opened my eyes and saw that the room was, infact, totally dark.

Can't do it at will though.

Hiya Adrian, And Grettings All!

As you suggested, I tried to project my vision elsewhere.  I decided on a neighbouring house that I know well, and is always well lit during the night.

I wasn't totally confidant as the most I had previously done is see through the wall into the bathroom.  Nevertheless, I concentrated on their house, and knowing the exact location I tired to 'move' my mind there.  It was awesome!  The clarity was unbelievable, but I think I was somewhat confused as I could see all this, but knew I wasn't really there; I couldn't feel myself there.

I saw their dog urinating on the carpet near the sofa, but for all my excitement sleep was pulling at me.  I remember seeing my room again before I fell asleep.

The climax of this whole experience occurred the next morning when I called our neighbours to ask if their dog had urinated in the place I described.  And it had!!!!!!  How lucky could I have been?  I was there at the right moment to get verification.

Of course I had to endure accusations of beaking and entering, snooping through windows etc so I fobbed it off as a dream that seemed real enough to ask about (which didn't satisfy their closed minds anyway).

Overall, I am ecstatic.  I want to keep working on this, but would love some advice as to how I can keep myself awake longer.

Thankyou, Love and Light.

When I first started reading about astral travel, I realized that I had been seeing through my closed eyes since I was a kid, while attempting to sleep. Now I'm pretty sure that this is my astral sight coming into play, but is this of any importance? I know that my body is still awake during this point, so I don't think I can actully project from this state. Is there any relevence here?
