I know Robert Bruce's are reputed to be good are there any other decent books that I should check out?

I've got quite a nice collection of books about astral projection, and I have to say so far the one book that has turned out to have the best techniques for me was the only one I don't have in paper form -- Robert Peterson's free online book, OBEs: How to have them and what to expect (http://www.robertpeterson.org/)

Ultimately though, message boards are one of the best resources out there, they not only contain practical advice but also allow you to ask questions. This is particularly important because what will get you out of body is probably not techniques from books, but a technique of your own created from everything you've read and understood about out of body experiences.

Depends on how you like learning. I'd recommend Astral Dynamics, its got more than enough information for successful conscious exit projection.

Jonas Ridgeway's site (http://www.jonasridgeway.com) has a long list of books about astral projection. I've asked for some for Christmas, and I got them from looking at Jonas's website.

I've asked for The Projection of the Astral Body by Sylvan Muldoon and Hereward Carrington, Journeys Out of the Body by Robert Monroe, and Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce.
