Last night when getting to sleep early I tried inducing OBE. I woke up 15 min later and fast got halfaware into sleep after like 1 second I was so relaxed and suddenly come to what felt like Another World with so Bright White light it felt so real that I got scared and woke up. Have never experienced this Before anyone know what this was?
It happens. There are many names for this: Light in the head phenomenon, 'pineal gland activation', and I have forgotten other names for it. It happens once for no apparent reason (well, practices sometimes trigger it or sometimes intense experiences trigger it too)- but once it happens it may happen again, a few times, in dim light or complete darkness (usually dim light, though, not sure why). Sometimes thinking of spiritual things brings it on, sometimes for no apparent reason. Someone once said it's the 'backlighting' from neurons firing, Idk if that's true, but suffice it to say that it happens and it's kind of cool once the first time the surprise fades.

I had a similar experience with a blinding white light once. It was quite strong and intense. It came in a little bit after the vibrations. I'm still new to astral projection, and thus haven't been able to get past vibrations.
This can be a brow center strobe (if it was a flash like on a camera, but in your head) or a pineal gland activation (as it's been called) when you can see light coming 'from the inside' in dim light or darkness. I'm not sure what causes it, but it's widely reported by people that meditate for a a long time or have emotional 'transcendental' experiences.
I have this happen often when I Phase. I normally see a bright white light, either in the form of a mist or the entire screen in front of me, just before I shift.
This used to cause doubts whether my physical eyes were open or not, especially since this white light got so bright it had me wincing for real. My "Mindfold" helped rectify my doubt problem and just staying the course and ALLOWING myself to confront and pass through this white light has led to many unique journeys.
I won't tell you what I saw because I don't want to give you any expectations. I would rather you find out what's there on your own. :wink:
