What is your GOAL realated to AP?

astral sex
Do magick & get Power
Play, fly around & have fun
Explore the Unknown
Solve the Mystery of Life

Rudolph

My overall Goal is 5 but when I get out I often pursue 4. When initial attempts end quickly for whatever reason, I will often just start flying around - which is a lot of fun.

Sometimes exploring the unknown will involve magick but this is spontaneous and not part of the original intent.

I think that those who pursue the lower number options as a primary goal often fail but those who pursue 5 will often find things like 2,3 & 4 just falls in their lap.

Beware the fake "seeker" who finds Truth to be abusive.

I find that the fifth is generally well beyond my reach, and I remind myself that when I think I am any closer, I am probably deluded. My best guess, at this point, is that existence might be about an expression of all possible ways of mind to exist, and all the states and experiences mind may have, and all the creations it is capable of (another class of experience, this one momentarily divided into subject and object). For instance, mind may be a man named Phil Collins, who experiences celebrity and struggles with substance use, it may be a toddler who watches Phil Collins on the tv, it might be the algae experiencing a state of static being, or it might be some disembodied  focal point of thought experiencing a world of its own creation.

Since I can't assail 5 directly, I seem mostly focused on 4 and 3 sometimes.

The others are not necessarily "bad" goals either though, I could see them as being meaningful if they were practiced with the right mindset, and would provide useful experiences even if they were not.

I voted "Explore the Unknown."

Two years ago I was playing around in Focus 12, and I focused on something along the lines of "What is my purpose?" The answer I got was an image of a bare tree branch budding out and growing much larger. My interpretation is (naturally...) the obvious one of "to grow." The only way I know of to do that is to gain experiences, and exploring the unknown will definitely give me new experiences. Anything else that happens will be an accident.

I voted 'Explore the Unknown" because it was the "Unknown" that caught my attention last February. So my goal is to understand why.

Play, fly around and have fun, but mostly explore the unknown.

CFTraveler

Explore the Unknown, or the little known.

Szaxx

Hi,
Explore the unknown, I made so many pleasure trips before I was 10 and then started asking questions. The answers were varied until the vortex trip.
Thats the unknown, just go for it.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

I'm definitely a 5'er. I don't know how possible it is, but my experiences have put me to a point where I can't tread water... I have to push forward or I'm wasting my life. Exploring is fun, but still exists within certain boundaries. I want out of those boundaries.

Blazewind

I would definitely have to choose 4.  "To explore the unknown."  Option 5 has a definite appeal as well though.  I think however they are a bit related and go together.  To find the mystery and meaning of life is a from of exploration of something unknown too.

Exploring the Unkown isn't actually what I would have to propose to myself. It's because everything I encounter seems to be the unknown, therefore 'meeting the unknown' is - for me - an intrinsic ingredient of each AP.
And the most unknown and 'strange' thing at all seems to be my own 'self' which I am also exploring a lot.

Explore the universe I guess but also originally I thought I'd be able to sit in on the Rolling Stones at a recording or practice session.  LOL!   Actually I want to reach a state of peace, to resolve and smooth out my self, to enable abilities such as song writing and playing instruments.

Stillwater

You get those abilities... by doing them, lol.

If you want to be a good songwriter, learn piano or guitar, and start learning chords and music theory, and take apart your farvorite songs to figure out why you like them. There is more to it than that, but not much more. Lots of people want musical skills, but the people who have them get them because they are disciplined enough to study what needs to be done!

Um, my goal isn't any of those. My goal is to eventually get myself to a point where I can further my RLSH, (Real Life Superhero) activities. The RLSH Project is a non profit organization of individuals who don costumes to help attract attenting to the cause they're fighting for, some patrol for crime, some do outreach, and some our activists, I'm hoping through astral projection I can do a little bit of everything anywhere I want without getting hurt. I.E. Stopping a mugging via Astral Projection by altering my vibrational state enough to affect solid matter; disarm the gunman/fly the victim to safety; whatever is necsary. :)

I've been trying to find a "higher reason" behind OOBE for years, but I ended up not finding one. It's just fun for me.

Mr.PumperNickle

I chose to explore the unknown. I have never projected by I have done a LOT of research regarding AP'ng. When I explore the unknown I want to ask famous dead people ethically simple but hard to apply in "real life" questions. One question that I want to ask  Siddhartha Gautama is how can I REALLY help people, not just being courteous, but like a life changing help.
So close but so far to projecting. It'll come one day, i'll just have to wait.
