Title: Bible and Protection?
Post by: Dark Knight on December 26, 2003, 03:17:43
I don't know if any passage in the bible itself is any better than any other. It's all about faith.

Prayers get stronger with time and repetition, though. Robert bruce had noted in his book, Practical Psychic Self Defense, that the older the symbol/prayer/scripture the more power it seemed to invoke, most likely because they have been used so much for so long. Prayers and symbolic writing in Hebrew or Latin held great sway...but old prayers are not a replacement for faith. You need the faith too. So if you belong to a fairly young religon like Islam, I wouldn't give up Islam just because it is a relatively young faith. Faith is important!

If you're not Christian or Jewish but open minded to all faiths, you might want to try some of the older prayers and symbols in their original writing and language. But if not, stick with your faith, it's the best friend you have.

Its not the actuall Bible or scripture that gives you the power, and its not God. Its your own mind, the bible and scriptures are just Placebos, its all in your mind..... Of course this is coming from an Atheist so go ahead and disregard it if I offended you.

If there are negative entities and bad spirits (such as the djnuns, genoms) that bother you, it is common in the jewish religion (as well as with the wiccan by the way) to light a candle and make a prayer (to God) and ask for these bad entities to go away and leave you alone. You should then let the candle burn down all by itself and not use it for any other purpose (do not use it to light a cigarette while it burns for example). To make a prayer is just to "speak to" and "ask" God what you want from your heart (not just to recite something). If you know a prayer fine, if not it just has to come from your heart whatever you chose to say.
