Rather than give you a process – consider the following: -

Anyone who says they are reading or can read your mind is lying through their back teeth or are deluded in their capacity of their abilities – usually this type of personallity will only using that as a ploy to psychologically intimidate you! Typical of someone doing a cold reading - e.g. a stage illusionist!

On the other hand if someone is using psychic abilities – then they should be responsible enough not to use the term 'mind reading'.

A psychic or medium would however be reading impressions of your past, present and potential for the future by attuning with your aura not your mind. Even the best psychic will be unable to provide a meaningful reading if the subject did not willingly want to participate in the sitting! The thing here is use of your will – choose not to be read and only when it suits your needs not theirs for instance!

There are lots of protection exercises both psychological and psychic - which can help to create barriers to unwarranted intrusion and can easily be found by a simple internet search.
