Each individual is not an island, certainly not energetically. Even on the physical, when you examine your thoughts, how much of it is your own, and how much influenced by your family, peers, government policies, and societal standards?

On the non-physical level, we exist in a sea of energy. By the principle of resonance, we attract to ourselves energies and entities of similar thought, emotion and vibration. Entity ATTACHMENT (usually by psychotic post mortem eartbound human souls or fragments of), describes a situation in which the intruder has successfully established a permanent energetic attachment with the subject, akin to cancer which must be surgically removed, in this case vibrationally removed, best with psycho-therapy for the intruder, with the assistance of the guides & helpers. Afterall, the intruder must also be viewed as a being in need of assistance, him/her/itself a victim crying for help.

OVERSHADOWING, a rather generic term that refers to a situation in which the Intruding Entity, usually a dark (ie. vibrationally low) entity who is aware of what it is doing (unlike a psychotic post mortem human who is often dazed and unconsciously attaches to the subject; psychotic post mortem = a human who is psychologically unstable after death, aka "ghost"), does not actually attach itself energetically to the subject, but stays (non-physically) in the presence of the subject and continually tries to intrude, interfere, sabotage, manipulate and control the subject's life, usually with the aim of causing great damage on a spiritual and karmic level. The effect of which is not that much different from Attachment, but the mechanism differs.


Regardless of the type of intrusion involved, the nature of the Intruder may be human (psychotic post mortem or 'ghost', or even a mind fragment of a living person) or non-human (eg. entities conjured by magick and sorcery, astral wildlife, karmic homonculi, robotic-program type entities, etheric devices, psycho-viruses, extraterrestrials and the demonic, or Dark Force Entities (DFEs), of which there are different types of different origins belonging to different groups).

Higher Guides, Helpers, Angels, and all vibrationally and evolutionarily evolved Beings and Energies, NEVER Intrude or Overshadow. Such would, as you say, interfere with the free will choice of the subject, which is (on one level at least), a karmic violation. Higher Guides & Helpers only offer their assistance, energies, guidance, and a willingness to work with you, on very specific agendas and projects for the greater CosmoEthic good. And they do this only for those who ask of it, clearly and consciously. Those (non-physicals) who claim to be 'guides', but insist to telling you what to do, are actually Blind guides or false guides, in need of assistance themselves. The number of such entities are numerous, and is the cause of many disturbing cases of pple who claim to have negative experiences with their 'guides'.

Many of these Blind guides are themselves intruded or attached by other entities, not uncommonly, Dark Force Entities. There could be many layers of such attachments before the DFE involvement is revealed.

In case some might be tempted to wonder, "But why don't the higher guides & helpers remove these blind guides? Why do they still allow these blind guides to wreak havoc?"

The answer is the same reason why the higher guides & helpers 'allow' earthbound psychotic post mortem human souls to remain stuck in the various astral levels or Afterlife foci (eg. Focus 23 or 25). Or even why they 'allow' the existence or interference of Demonic Entities (DFEs) onto this Earth plane, etc.

The answer, is indeed the very same reason why they do not Intrude on you! It is because they do not interfere with the free will of others. Being a 'Blind guide', simply means any entity who is not actually vibrationally and evolutionarily qualified or trained to Guide or Help, but tries to do so anyway, invariably making things worse, interfering with and entangling itself into the subject's karma, because the Blind guide itself has a great deal of personal, emotional, psycho-spiritual and karmic issues that needs to be worked out. It is itself in a state of imbalance, and tries to redress this by projecting its issues onto others outside of itself.

Although on one level, spirit attachment or intrusion is considered a karmic violation or free will, but on this physical plane, in physical incarnation, to sojourn into the denser planes of existence, requires that we 'throw in' and tie in our personal karma together with the 'whole lot'. It is a group game, so to speak.

Anytime your feel an emotion or think a thought, it sends out an energetic ripple through the ethers, attracting or encouraging some form of energetic connection with like-entities. Factor in the complex workings of free will, karma multi-dimensionality and time (over many incarnations), you could say that just about any choice we make, any thought we think, and emotion we feel, has at least some possibility and awareness of being 'shared' with others.

Looking at it positively, this is indeed the case with your own Guides & Helpers, Evolutionary Orientor, Council of Elders, Master Teachers and Guardian Angels; Having worked with, watched over, loved with and assisted you for the whole of your incarnation (and likely many others), you could rightly say that your present incarnation, is a group effort and group investment. In an auto race, you're the driver of the physical vehicle, but still part of the team of mechanics, managers, sponsors, etc, that are all part of the family cheering you on. The success of the race (incarnation), is the Group's success, as much as it is also yours.

Now, to address your question more directly :

As to how one may ascertain whether or not one's choice, emotion or thought is one's own, the answer is you cannot. Nor do you really need to. As Bruce (Moen) says, where does one consciousness end and another begin?

What you CAN and SHOULD do, is to, by clear, conscious effort and determination, clear your consciousness and energy field of intrusion and attachments as much as you can (there are many helpful practices for this, such as Vibrational State and Personal Energetic Task... Spirit Releasement Therapy is more suitable for severe cases (eg. on the brink of insanity, or where black magic or curses are involved) in which urgent assistance is called for).

Honoring, aligning and furthering oneself along the Clarification principle, by such processes as Byron Katie's INQUIRY process, is highly recommended for those wishing to enable clear headed, non-intrusion, truly free willed choices, thoughts and emotions. It is also a very powerful tool for personal karmic evolution. When you feel the urge to feel a certain emotion or think a certain thought, which may well be those of an Intruder, ask yourself with total honesty such questions as, "Why am I feeling this way? What motives might I have for feeling this? How might feeling this way help me? What other choices can I make that might be better? What do I really want? etc, etc."

With the Inquiry process furthering yourself along the Clarification principle, plus the frequent employment of helpful energetic exercises such as the (IIPC's) Vibrational State technique or (TMI's/Bruce Moen's) REBAL technique, or (Robert Bruce's) New Energy Ways (NEW) techniques, the majority of intruders will, due to energetic disharmony with their own lesser vibrations (caused by lesser intentions on their part), fall off, just like leeches uncomfortable with the flame (used to remove them). But such purely energetic practices only offer temporary relief, because if the psycho-spiritual karmic issue and energy that attracted them and encouraged the attachment remains, the intrusion and attachments will naturally return.

Meaning that when you are faced with a choice and there are many voices in your head (either metaphorically or literally), clear your head (using Inquiry process + Vibrational State exercise, etc), muster your emotional strength, listen to your intuition (wisdom of your own Higher Self + telepathic advice from Guides & Helpers), and CHOOSE WITH CLARITY AND STRENGTH.

THIS factor (whether your choice is made unconsciously or Consciously) is what separates the Free Will of the person from the influence of intruders and intrusion/attachment.

Kyo, I appreciate the detailed answer and heartily agree with most everything.  

I think we would have free will whether spirit guides help us or not.  

Some people, like young children and ignorant people, can't help themselves when they're attacked.  So do they have free will if they are coerced into making a decision?  If they don't know they are victim to spirit attachment?  I don't think so.  

They can't choose with clarity and strength if they don't know how.  They need help because they definately figure things out on their own.  And they're not free until they have choices.

I think it is the responsibility good spirits and good spirited people to help them.

I don't believe in karma, by the way.

I do agree with you that we should be able to take care of ourselves, and I like the way you defined spirit attachment.
