I often see things out of the corner of my eyes and I always wonder if it's just my mind making up stuff or if it's actually entities. Today for example, I felt a slight breeze go past my left side when I was sitting in a chair and I looked to see what it was and I thought I saw something out of the corner of my eye.

Are there any reasons why we see things out of the corner of our eyes?

I haven't been on here for a while and I'm glad to be back  :-D

This is commonly known as Corner of eye phenomena, also referred to as Shadow people.

There are 7 known causes of the phenonoma:

  • The Imagination
  • Ghosts
  • Demons or Other Spirit Entities
  • Astral Bodies
  • Time Travelers
  • Interdimensional Beings
  • Aliens

Well, it's odd. Because sometimes I am staring at my computer screen - at night - and I notice light out of the corner of my left eye. That wouldn't surprise me, if, the lights in my room were lit  :-D. My dark are always in the dark; someone else turning the lights on can be discarded as well; everyone was asleep, and how would I even be able to see "light", if my door was closed, has no window but somehow I saw light under the spaces of the door?

Sometimes I also notice the passing of something, sort of like a light shadow passing me by in a flash.

There is one, purely physical:  Peripheral vision.  The cool thing about it is that since it mainly detects objects in motion, theoretically if 'disembodied entities' are vibrating at a different rate than the usual physical reality, it would detect them.  Of course this is just an idea.

If it is actually enteties that are walking past is it possible to make it so you can see enteties when you're looking at them straight on?

Some beings can manifest there energy to be seen in our realty but only for a short time. I'm not an eye expert but it has something to do with the rods and cones in your eyes that allow you to see them.

Your Peripheral vision is much more sensitive than the main part of your eye because it's not used as much.
Because of this it's not as used and/or damaged as the main part of your eye.

You see these things in peripheral vision because of the structure of the inner eye.

When seeing straight ahead light enters the Rods, but when seeing peripherally light enters through Cones, which take in much more light and therefore much more information than the Rods. This is why most people see something out the corner of their eye and when looking straight they cannot see it.

What you see in the corner of your eye is there. Have no Fear.

What a coincidence, in the song 'Comfortably Numb' of Pink Floyd, there is a part in the lyrics which say:

'(...)When I was a child, I saw a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye,
I turn to look, but it was gone(...)'

Some times I see a purple light out of the corner of my eye, it's strange

I'll see things (lights, sparks, orbs, tendrils) mid-peripherally, near-peripherally, and centrally quite a bit whenever doing extensive out of body work, especially if it involves contact with other life forms. I always just figured it was a sensorial effect of energetic / informatic entanglement (connection to and from you) between you and at least one other life form.
