Supernatural "sign?" in the past

Hello!

I wish there was an explanation for this what i've witnessed in my childhood. I was around 8-10 years old, playing outside. Then i saw something weird next to our storage building. A black small object flying, doing circles, perfect ones. It really drew my attention by this repeating pattern. I thought, like anyone would think that it was a fly or some other bug. I went closer and suddenly it fell down like it had died during the flight. I was so close to the object, about half a meter away when it "died" and my eyes had perfect focus on the object, and when i picked it up, turned out that it was a simple piece of black rock... Flying/floating in circles. Like it WANTED to get my attention...  Other kind of supernatural events in very recent past triggered me to care about this event in my memory. I know what i saw... What could this possibly mean? Anyone else has similiar experiences? Any kind of thoughts about this are welcome. Thank you in advance.
