This happened 3 or4  months ago but I am just now realizing what I saw. Hearing a similar story, I researched the internet but now I would like your opinions on this.

I was in the passenger seat while my boyfriend drove. I do admit that I was moderately high on cannabis at the time. Cannabis is the only substance I use. While driving up a slight hill I see a man on bicycle coming straight at us. He had on a tan long coat and a fedora. His feet were outstretched on the bike (not on peddles but much like a kid having fun, feet in the air). He was coasting down the hill coming straight at us. My boyfriend always gets annoyed when I become a backseat driver or get nervous at his driving like I often do. So when I saw this I stiffened up and was about to say something but I held my tongue cause I knew he had to have seen this guy coming at us. I don't know where this figure went but I assumed he just went beside the car cause he was closer to the driver side as he got closer. A few seconds later I see a regular dressed person riding his bike down the same hill but on the sidewalk. I say to my boyfriend, "That's weird. Two people in a row on bikes at this time of night" but he looks at me funny and said that there was only one. I chalked this up to being high until I herd the story of a hat shadow man. I have not ever hallucinated while being high in the past so it was puzzling. His description fits. But I think that if this was real, this figure was trying to scare me. Do you think it was also strange that there was another person on a bike directly after.

Since then I have seen this figure on a few occasions. Often standing in traffic or in strange areas. He always quickly vanishes. Sometimes while high and sometimes while sober.

Lately I have been having a hard time what with working and a very busy lifestyle. I have been having more and more panic attacks and depression lately. I was wondering if anyone has had similar dealings and if they also suffered from having present negative experiences. I'm not sure if this thing is attracted to people who see it or people who are down on their luck and sad.

Opinions and experiences are much appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Hat man experience?  Ja, das ist so! Man hat experience!   Couldn't resist, sorry.  :-D

Anyway this is a really bizarre story and if I were you I bet I would be having second thoughts about whether or not I saw two people.  But just from how specific your experience was, I'm pretty confident on your behalf that you really must have seen two people.

So either your boyfriend didn't see the second one, and it was simply a normal human being.  Or he didn't see the second one because there was nothing there for him to see, and you had the privilege of seeing something paranormal.

There are a lot of strange stories of this sort and I don't know what to make of them.  It's not simply a matter of personal psychology I think, because there really are non-human entities out there that can come across our path just as any human being can, except in stranger ways.  There are weird stories from "men in black" to "black eyed children" to bizarre sets of stories without obvious commonalities, like even my dad has recounted to me.  All I can say, is it's something like X-file.  "The truth is out there."  :P
What is the sound of no leaves cloving?
